Hiya! Some of you might remember from a weeks back or just way back when. Anyways, I'm a flash junkie that's finally having his design firm go public. This is the grand opening introduction movie for my site! It's still under construction, and really, right now, there is absolutely no content substance-wise. I'll be adding more in the next few days, but any feedback on just the intro right now would be great!

CAUTION: My flash is flashy.

^ How long does it take for you to load?? I'm just curious, so that way I might be able to cut down the time it takes. Thanks for the feedback so far, everyone. Please, if you can offer any suggestions, it would be great! I'll let you know when something new comes up, probably by tomorrow!

I like the animations. But fonts could be a lot better. A lot. If you're going for a clear sans-serif font, I'd highly recommend Lane, although it is used a lot in magazines and all.

Also, the logo at the end, which looks tight, is pixelated, probably because the SWF file is naked. :[

Dawg, even though you're out of my price range, I'm definitely gonna have to find some way to get you to design my site someday, somehow, ha ha.

Ay you do a great job choosing music for your sites. I remember the first site of your that I saw included Ghostwriter by RJD2, which just worked fabulously, and you still continue to choose great choons. (Though this particular tune sounds a little low quality.)

Actually I think I might want the song, ha ha.

I missed the animation the first time because I got impatient and ended up doing something in another tab. D:

Really amazing, though. Def. worth the wait. It's very...exciting.

Alright!

I've cut the song in length and reduced its quality, increased the resolution for the logo and lowered its quality, so I got the file size from 1333 KB down to 928 KB! That should significantly lower the loading time. If anyone would be so kind as to let me know if that helped at all, that would be great ;)

I've started on content, so the moment I get that up, I'll let everyone know. Thanks bunches for the feedback so far, anything at all would be really great!

I like it, apposed to something long and drawn out.
It's perfect as an introduction to the site.
It loads pretty fast, for my computer.

It's really good, but I suggest a "skip intro" link (I didn't see one) since a few people might not want to stick around for the flashiness.

Ohh, I like. It's all text, but it's really really cool. I agree with Melissa, though, when you've got the rest of your site up and everything.

I'm really excited to get the full version up and running happy.gif. In the draft so far, yeah, I created the skip intro, so don't worry about that (it'll bypass the loading time for it as well). I just need to get photos touched up then I'll have the full version up. So LATEST, this weekend. :D

Agreed, I've noticed this about ur past flash productions as well. The words on the bottom below your name aren't sharp and I can see the pixels on the big signature up top too. Are you using the full image or did you resize it?

The pixelation of images in Flash depends on the screen resolution that the person is using and also because the movie itself resizes according to how big your browser is (if you resize the window of the browser when viewing the site, the scale changes). That might account for the quality of text and images. It's strange that the text underneath wouldn't be sharp (unless you mean the style font?) because they are vector images in Flash that don't pixelate unless the browser window is really small.

As for fonts, it would be really great if anyone could recommend any other ones (sans-serif or times are the font styles I use the most). Lane was great by the way, Markster, thanks! I'm using it for a client project right now (which I'll post soon also) happy.gif

^ It really depends on the complexity of the project at hand. If you're talking about a business website for a new fashion firm, that can get anywhere from 1500 to 6000 dollars. But a small blog or a portfolio can range from a few hundred to maybe about 1.5K. True, it is very pricey, but if you were to take a look at any other firm, you'll see that they charge just as much--and for an HTML design that is functional, not attractive.

But if you've got something in mind, let me know, we can probably arrange something that should be within your range.
