Came back from the premier at around 3:00 AM ish.
*SPOIL SPOIL SPOIL*

I thought the acting was horrible.
I adored Alice, Carlisle, Erick, and Bella's dad though.
There were so many lame parts, like when Edward went into the sun.
It looked like he was just showered with a bucket of glitter.
I really liked the scene in he ballet room though. Really intense.
THE BEGINNING WAS ADORABLE WHEN SHE SAW ROBERT IN THE BIO LAB
<3 Him trying to suppress his anger was so adorable, lol.
I think he needed to be less awkward though although the awkardness was kinda cute?

Ehh I have a lot to say but I'll stop now.

He's too old, and French, but yeah. He would have been perfect.

Robert was a little...off, it seemed.

ALSO, I'll say it in here:

IF YOU SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE MOVIE AT ALL IT BETTER BE IN SPOILER TAGS.

Unless it's something vague. Like what I said up there.

WOW LOL. This movie was f*cken shit! LMAOO. At all the hype on this movie.

This movie was shittier than the books. And it's really hard to be any worser than the books. I almost fell asleep, and I rarely fall asleep at movie theatres.

I thought the movie was amazing!!

The baseball and fight scene were freakin SICK!

The cafateria scene was awesome and the field trip when Rosalie asks "Is Bella even Italian?" and Emmett goes "Well, her name is Bella."

The feild trip scene when Edward says "You can google it."

And the kissing scene!! Amazing.

Hmm after reading the book, my picture of Edward seemed to be different than what the movie portrays him to be. I imagined him to look like this one guy at school.

so who did you imagine Edward to look like ?

wtf i didn't imagine edward to have gay hair

got the e-mail this morning. i'm so happy! :]

SPOILER.
so overall, i thought the movie was amazing. it felt like it was extremely rushed, though. and seriously, the whole kristen's monotone voice thing. i thought it wouldn't be that bad when i saw the previews. i mean, i understand what she's feeling (because of the book), but other people who haven't read it would be like uh...wtf? i'm not sure if i should pin this on kristen for doing it, or on the director for telling her. she should have brought A LOT more emotion to particular areas.
the whole victoria at the prom thing? edward would have heard her thoughts, correct? i'm confused why they even put that in there. also, the part where she's in the hospital after the ballet studio. she freaks out and then all of a sudden STOPS. that was really obvious and horrible, IMO.
even with the imperfections, IT WAS AMAZING! i'll have to see it a few more times because i was so giddy and couldn't take all of it in.

K, let me bitch about the whole Twilight experience yesterday.(REALLY LONG)

So my mother decided to throw a Twilight-themed party with her friends from work and my sister's friend.
There were a couple related games that was supposed to prepare us for the movie.
They were so f*cking stupid, as you can imagine.
So anyways, I'm sitting in my dining room with all these women (so boring) and the one lady gets a call from her husband who said that the movie theater's power shut off last night, so they weren't letting anyone see the movie. We would have to go down and there and collect our prepaid ticket to see it another time.

So everyone's mad and you know like WTF and pissy as f*ck, so we decide to go down there and get our tickets. We get there and the power's on, and a cop says "Oh yeah, the power's back on. We'll let you in in about fifteen minutes."
So we're like, "Yay hooray!" blah-blah-blah. We friggin stand out there in the cold for like 20 minutes. because they decided "OH we have to set up now." Cool. So we're waiting a she tells us to wait on the other side, and a really big line forms behind us. People wanna know what's going on so they go to the theater doors and this nappy-headed bitch was explaining what was wrong, and some security guard's not letting people in.

People are getting angrier (including us) because we've been outside in like 40 degree weather for 45 minutes, so people start yelling and complaining and shit. The old fat security guard keeps shoving people away from the doors, and one guy starts pushing back and gives him the fingers. Yeah, uh-oh. So the cops come and monitor the place, and the lady says that only people with certain show-times can see Twilight, and then maybe other people can see it. So people start yelling some more and when the doors opened, PEOPLE ARER SCREAMING AND KNOCKING PEOPLE OVER AND SQUEEZING, etc. My mother's about to spit on someone, and her friend almost backhands another person because they almost knocked my sister and her tiny friend down. So we get in, exchange new tickets for Twilight, and go into one of the theaters. Nobody except two chicks were in there. So we sit in there for about a half hour wondering where everyone else is, why hasn't the movie started, you know. I go potty, and when I come back I'm told that they put us into the wrong theater; so we could either go into the other Twilight that started 30 minutes ago or or wait until 10:00 p.m.
We wait until the 10:00.

Now, FINALLY the movie.

I liked it.
I liked Kristen Stewart as Bella, because she seemed much less annoying than that the book described. I liked how they changed details and added humor, because the story-line feel more believable (as possible as that is for fiction). I liked how they portrayed Charlie especially.
THE FIGHT SCENE WAS AMAZING. I REALLY ENJOYED BELLA GETTING BEAT UP. And lol at Alice's reaction to her blood.
I didn't like that horrible wig they had on Jacob. Wtf he didn't look the least bit Native American.
I didn't like the amount of makeup the had on Carlisle and Edward. They looked like high-schoolers with too much foundation.
I didn't like the actress they chose for Rosalie or Victoria. They were both really ugly.
I didn't like how, when Edward was sucking the venom from Bella's wrist, Carlisle's voice was so monotone. "Edward, Stop. That's Enough. You're Killing Her. Stop." Enthusiasm, much?
And mainly, I didn't like the lack of chemistry between Edward and Bella. It felt like "Oh, I know you're a vampire; Yeah we should date." No.
Aside from that, I really really enjoyed. I'd watch it a second time, and I hate watching movies more than once in theaters.

I loved the movie though it was REALLY BAD in ways.
Like the dazzle? I was laughing so hard, oh my god.
I liked bella and edward's chemistry but it felt so rushed compared to the book so it just really felt like edward was a big creeper and bella was this super obsessed-infatuated girl. And the fact that some parts really brought out the awkward turtle.
Yeah major character development is needed..
I FELT SO BAD FOR JASPER HE WAS SO BUG-EYED THE WHOLE TIME.
Also I didn't like james' or carlisle's hair :/

Books are way better but if i had the chance, i'd love to see this again xD
Also I was wondering for people who didn't read the books got what was going on, so my bff actually said that she had got the plot and everything, and she wants to start reading the books. woot.

Oh, hell, I'll just make my whole freaking post spoiler tagged.

Okay. The chemistry. I have better chemistry with a rock. There was NONE. At all. It was all very...muted. NO CHEMISTRY! No passion.

Jasper, wtf. You are like...way bug-eyed. Poor you.

Alice! I LOVE YOU! She was really pretty and fit her character. Yay.

BILLY BLACK = ROFL. I loved the comedy that they introduced. It added more to the movie, which I thought was nice.

Everything else, I have mixed feelings about. I'll probably go see it again. Try and compute everything.

YAY MORE JACOB BLACK! YESSSSSSSSSSSS!

Honestly I can't believe I haven't joined this.

Real name: Michelle
Favorite book: Does Midnight Sun count? Haha.. Twilight.
Favorite character: Asides from Edward then.. Jasper.
Favorite scene: There's too many. The very first one that got me hooked though and that's the meadow scene.

And now onto to the movie..

Okay.. I saw the midnight premiere. Let me tell ya, I was extremely excited that the movie finally came. The movie started and I started liking how it began (while tuning out the ridiculous annoying screams) up until I saw Jacob and that thing on top of his head. It was talking to me, I swear. His wig. Ugh.. from that moment I knew the movie was going to meet my expectations and my expectations were low. When Edward took a whiff out of Bella in the biology class I started cracking up. A little over-exaggerated. And then it went on and on and Bella had the same facial expression in every flipping scene. Her monotone voice never changed and did anyone see her going cross eyed when she was bitten by James. I mean.. holy crap did you see that bite!? It was HUGE. Lol Jasper's painful expression was hilarious when we saw them for the first time. Mike, Eric and Tyler.. "What's up Arizona!" ... Are you serious? The sound effects when Edward sparkled! What, OH WHAT, in God's name was that? I was laughing most of the time, it was pretty funny. Emmett's character was dead on and so was Rosalie's and the rest of the Cullens. I love, love, love, love, love Robert as Edward. Kristen could work on it a little. The dinner scene was okay. And in the end when Edward was about to go crazy on James Carlisle comes and says "No. Remember who you are." I honestly thought "Mufasa" when he said that. And what happened to Alice and Carlise's story? Alice is suppose to have more scenery then that and isn't Carlisle's story important?

Ah I don't know, I'm severely disappointed and I just don't seem to understand how some people can actually think it gave this book any justice at all? I'm not saying it was terrible although it does seem so. It was okay for a movie.. but does it live up to the book? Does it give the book justice? No. Hell no. It was too fast, jumping from one thing to the other and it was two hours! What the hell happened? How can everyone say it was more then they expected? I'm too critical when it comes down to this. I am the hugest fan out there of this series and no I'm not just saying that. I am a hardcore fan. I'm a pathetic, sad and painfully lame girl who is in love with Twilight and knew the movie wouldn't be good but secretly hoped it would be.

Yes, I agree they were true to the book but of course not as good as the book. I understand there was a budget and limitation in time but honestly they should have waited it out if that was the case.

shrug.gif

no movie ever gives the book justice.
i'm trying not to think of the movie from the book perspective. i'm looking at the movie in general. like i said, it'll sink in once i watch it a few more times.

^ You're right. But the movie wasn't that good, to me, anyway. It lacked visual magic and some acting skills.

Let me also add that I, too, will watch the movie a couple more times so it can grow on me, just as the characters did. Maybe that's all I need..
