In world of mainstream rap music and corporate hustlers, quality music is of no importance; it's all about selling records. Right now the south, particular ATL, is in its prime. Other regions have made their presence known but have left little national impact (The Bay, Houston, MIA). Do you think mainstream southern rap is going start heading downhill soon (as if it already hasn't)? Why?

By downhill, if you mean disappear, then, probably not. The one thing that makes Southern rap so damned resilient is their stupidity (excepting Outkast, the whole Dungeon Family and Purple Ribbon All-Stars, Bubba Sparxxx, Scarface, etc). They're party songs, they make you want to get up and dance.

I don't think so. A lot of southern rap is about going crazy and having fun and I think so many people like it b/c it's easy to forget about the lyrics and just dance.
