I've just been compiling a list of films to put on my DVD Hire list for the next few months and want some recommendations from anyone out there with a similar taste? Or even if your taste is different, I'm open to all sorts of film.
I like quirky, alternative films, comedy, (tasteful) romance, lots of foreign film, and a lot of films with a political message. My top films probably include Together (Swedish), Italian for Beginners, Pans Labyrinth, Billy Elliott, The Shining, The Motorcyle Diaries, Airplane!, Blair Witch Project, anything by Mike Leigh...etc., but it's impossible to make a top list without leaving something out! Anyone share my tastes, or fancy enlightening me on something I'd like? |

The Official Film Snobs Club. And, as goes whatever: See films by Jean-Luc Godard (Weekend, Band of Outsiders, and A Woman is a Woman), and films by David Lynch (Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart, Eraserhead). |
