NOISE, I need to reduce the noise in my graphic, but not all will go away. |

So...getting 14 graphics rejected can be a crank, lol. And if you're like me, after that many at one time, it's quite easy to get irritated. Yet, I must move on and correct them. Sooo, do any photoshoppers out there know how to reduce the noise aka graininess in their graphics?? I've tried to reduce it but it doesn't go away completely.

I added the noise to give it a weathered, older, kinda retro look...like those t-shirts. Anyway, I thought it looked fine too but not enough to suit "schizo" or whoever that is.

There isn't a way to reduce noise once you've added it on. Not that I know of anyway.
But to be perfectly honest, I don't really like the graphic. It's interesting that you used a puffin (I love puffins!!) and that you took a chance and used those bright colours... but the colours and flowers and stuff just look kind of random and out of place to me. It looks like you smudged the ends of the puffin's head, the blue line across it's neck looks awkward, and the font does not suit the rest of the graphic. But I don't know... maybe it's just me. |

After you've run the noise filter, try going Edit>> Threshold and from there you can semi-edit how much noise will remain in the picture. This isn't a guarantee, but you can always try. :D
But, uh, really the graphic looks pretty fine. :) |

Hmm.. since you added the noise, it makes the graphic look a little low in quality. Also I'm not sure why you smeared the puffin's feathers or whatever on top of his head. And his little teal strip looks weird because it's a little choppy, tbh. I like the font but it looks so boring. Maybe if you experiment with font colors or font effects, it would "pop" more. I love the background though; very cute & retro.
 As far as reducing the noise, try this tutorial out. |
