Ok i liked the movie. I just went and saw it. However the ending kinda confused me, just stopping more abrupt than usual.

i COMPLETELY agree steph! i was like, why do i not remember this?

i didn't remember all the details from the sixth book, but here were a couple of parts that i was really mad about: i wanted to see that gaunt family memory. i also thought it was so strange at the end where they made it look like harry just let dumbledore die without trying, WHICH WAS NOT WHAT HAPPENED AT ALL WTF. they should have shown that he was immobilized.

oh and the movie was so incredibly cheesy with all that romantic stuff.

my thoughts exactly. i was disappointed. that memory was the one i was most looking forward to, too. and i don't understand the whole burning of their house either. at least draco looked hot.

OH YEAH. WTF. WHY WASN'T THERE A FUNERAL. [ AND DOBBY/KREACHER ]

Why the hell wasn't there a funeral, more teachers, and more fighting?! From a movie standpoint, it was great. From the book standpoint, they left some out. I know you dont want a 10 hour movie but come on!!

though being in a crowd with hp fanatics like yourself at midnight is fun.

Hopefully the producers will see a lot of the criticism, and reivews on this movie in the series, and make some changes in the direction for the 7th movies.

Me too, as long as it had a couple of commercial breaks. Even though I hate them, during 10 hours, they'd be necessary.

^... what the f*ck.

I liked the movie. I thought it was pretty well-done, despite how they cut out/added a lot of stuff and how it was a total cheese fest when it came to the hormones. I absolutely LOVED the bit where Katie Bell was cursed, and the part in the cave scared the shit out of me even though I knew it was coming. And I thought it was hilarious how they hinted so many things ("Oops... I guess this room's taken!" ; "So did you do it with Ginny?") Mind you, I read the book only once and it was a while ago, so I don't remember the specific details.

The only things besides the cheesiness that really pissed me off were the lack of explanation of ANYTHING and how little the Half-Blood Prince actually affected the storyline. But all in all, I enjoyed it.

haha i think the whole theater jumped when that part came on laugh.gif

yesssssss. the part where they meet slughorn in the beginning and then leave, dumbledore never even explained that he wanted him @ hogwarts or that he was giving him a job. unless he did and i missed that for some reason.

^he actually did explain that way later in the movie, but i doubt anyone was really paying attention-they should have just explained it right when slughorn was introduced!
