Man, the trailer looks dreadful. I'm a loyal Hellboy fangirl though, so I'll see it anyway. Plus I love Guillermo Del Toro.

Here's a link to the trailer.

I loved the first movie and I'm an avid reader of both Hellboy and BPRD comics/graphic novels.

I told a friend that I didn't like the first movie at all and he told me I had to see it again. I still haven't made that effort, but I intend to. Him and I tend to have very similar tastes, so, it would make sense that I enjoy it (at least more than I did before).

When that came out, that was a much longer time ago than I assume, wasn't it?

2004

Yes, please give it another shot. Mind you though, there's a number of differences between the film and comic canon. One major thing is that Abe Sapien isn't psychic in the books, but is in the films. Also, Hellboy would have never gone there with Liz (haha). The FBI guy was created for the film and doesn't exist in the books. There's more, but no need to list them all. The film did the title justice and for that I'm a happy fangirl.

A lot of the film is based on the Seed of Destruction arc (which you can get as a tpb *nudge*).

I felt the same way the first itme I saw it. It had been so long since then, so I bought a copy in a 7 for 20$ deal at the local game store. Watched it again, liked it a lot. Maybe my movie tastes have changed some over the years.

Has anyone seen this yet? My sister did and said it was terrific. I was curious to see if others had different opinions.

I won't be able to see it for a while.

I didn't like it. I couldn't wait for it to be over. It just wasn't my type of movie.

I re-watched the original and actually really enjoyed it. So, I'm going to see the second one tomorrow afternoon. I'm actually pretty excited, ha.

I saw it the day it came out. Considering I've never watched the first one & hadn't had any idea what Hellboy was about before I watched this one, I thought it was pretty good. The story line made me wanna know what happened next & not just skip towards the ending. Watching the second one makes me wanna watch the first one. Haha.

The graphics were cool too. As I watched the movie I was amazed by the fact that they were able to put all the detail into everything, from the costumes to the creatures, all visually stunning.

i loved the first movie. so i saw the pre-premiere and honestly, i didn't like it. it felt too long for me, like there was one part that felt like the ending but it wasn't. not even close. it did have a lot of funny parts though. hell boy is sarcastic as fxck and i love that.
