bare with me everyone, i'll try to keep things short

i have a guy friend who i'm really good friends with. he trusts me quite a lot i think cus he tells me a lot of personal things about himself. during the summer since we don't see each other, he would call/text/msn me almost everyday. he usually calls me when he's "bored" or when he has break at work. one time he called me at 12 AM and we talked for 30 minutes. so i'm wondering, does he have any feelings towards me? he called me at 12 AM just because he was bored...

but the thing is, he said that he wants to get back with his ex gf. he told me on msn one time that hes gonna try and make her his gf again. this is what happened:
me: have fun with your ex tomorrow!
him: you know... i'm gonna try and make her my gf again
me: i know..
him: wat u mean u know?
me: u said it before didnt u?
him: o = =well then
me: im guessing ur gonna go to sleep?
him: soon ^^ actually now, i'll phone u tmw if i get bored
me: HMMM
him: i love you ???????? (heart)
me: noob
him: :O :O
me: *thumbs up* *thumbs up*
him: haha nites

I LOVE YOU? wtf? is he just comfortable with me or what ? T__T
