So I've had the IP address provided. This doesn't exactly tell me a lot. Is there anyway to find out the myspace that actually veiwed my profile? I know i can trace the IP address to a location, but finding out that the person lives in the same city as me hasnt exactly narrowed a whole lot down...lol. Help!

Well, I'm not an expert on IPs, but every site I've used to look up my own hasn't given me more than a city. You can find out a person's IP if they ever emailed you, so you can always use that to find a friend's IP and identify them on the tracker. Or you could just ask all your friends for their IPs. Then you can at least distinguish when people you know visit your page versus people you don't know. But as for finding out exactly who someone is with just an IP, I'm not sure how you would do that.

You can't track people with IP addresses. IP addresses work like cell phones. You call someone, but first it goes though a cell phone tower. Then it goes to the persons phone. The IP address locates the internet company's building only.

^ i think he's referring to the cB tracker. on the tracker, when you discover who it was viewed your profile, you can "identify" their IP so that every time that IP address is recorded on the cB tracker, you'll know who it was.

IP address do define specific houses, however. all IPs are logged by service providers, and home addresses are linked to those, so if authorities ever need access to it, they can get it.

I accidentally identified myself as someone that went to my site that wasnt me. How do I undo it?
