The background was a shock to my wee eyes. In my opinion, the background and the two images don't work well together. The different colored image is okay, but I think you need to find a background that fits with it better. It looks a little sloppy to me.

The arrangement of everything is unique. I love what you did with the contact box. It's a bit all over the place design-wise, though. As said before, the images don't really match each other. I wouldn't suggest using a pattern in the background. A solid color would probably look best.

I like the solid color background you decided to use. IMO, though, the entire page is over-crowded.

I don't like the red you changed the background too. it hurts "my wee eyes."
