music player Options

probably a silly question, but how can I have a completely customizable "music player" on my website? (set to not start automatically, but that shouldn't be a problem). I have a small image that I want to position in a certain spot, and when you click that image, it plays the music, and also switches to a second image. or is this not possible? I don't know, it's just a question.
any input appreciated. :]

I've seen people do that but they coded themselves. Like the code for music to play. I would look for tutorials on how to code a music player.

^that's not what i'm asking, though...
i want the image to change to a different one when they click it. and i only want that image, no title, or anything, just the image.

^ which is why Oboe said you could play around with it.

instead of the play button, put an image in it's place with a rollover/onclick script to change the image when clicked. you can have a hidden input value option with your song number and set the image to a "submit/play" value (or something like that - i didn't look that closely at the code). Delete the drop-down, rewind, etc version, and voila, you have an image that plays music and changes when clicked.

it's a bit more complex than what i'm describing, but if you take that cb player script, understand html and form components, it's really not too hard.

i'll try to post a more detailed description or example later b/c i have somewhere to go right now.

ok, so I started playing around with that code, almost got it done except for changing the image and such...
and then. i found out the original code doesn't even work. at all.
