What can you actually do..., with a 16+ card?

Ok so you know when you turn 16, and i dont know if this is just in the UK, you get a card saying that you are over 16, but it says on it hat you not 18 yet. Is there actually anythin you can do with these cards? You used to be able to buy cigarettes but that has gone up to 18.
Anything?

I... uhm, wouldn't know either. I've never heard of these cards. There isn't much you can do until you're legal, anyways.
