^true, but nothing compares to createblog I mean createblog is a layout community not a resource site because the people who submit layouts arent part of the staff here anyway, I visit many different sites like rewindd, saruna etc.. yet I spend 75% of my time here :]

trish never accused roxy of stealing from anybody. she used it as a comparison of two designs that look almost exactly the same, but wouldn't be considered "jocking." your case is ... a bit different.

I'm just saying your links, your set-up, your font, ... it looks almost exactly like roxanne's.

I know but I didnt steal any of her coding, the headers in mine arent pictures like roxannes and I understand where your coming from, this layout is unoriginal, but at least I didnt steal any of her coding and as you can see my portfolio link isnt a drop down, as Iam having a hard time trying to figure out a drop down code, I knew people were going to accuse me, but im planning to get rid of Kevinjo.net by the time my plan ends anyway, so its not a big deal :]

Whatever, dude. I think it's just really low to go to a website, decide you like it, then strive to make yours exactly like hers. It's one thing to be inspired from something, it's another to copy. I can see if you saw her design, then thought about making one with a tree, or using the background paint splatters, but it's completely different to decide to make your links exactly like hers, your nav exactly like hers... and whoaaa, you couldn't figure out the drop-down menu, so you're suddenly not to blame for anything?

Where's your integrity? I don't even see a link to her on your site - even if you did have one, the amount of ideas/concepts/work you took from her is not enough to be coincidental nor acceptable.

I personally don't care if you if you keep it up or not. I just think you should contact Roxy to see if she minds or not. If she does, you better get it off.

I also think people/admins should look into the layouts you've submitted and double check to see if it was... "inspired" like your portfolio site was.

^ no worries, my myspace layouts are 100% original:] Im sorry if you cant believe me but they really are:] I myself am not a big fan of stealing I just dont know what got into me from the roxanne case:] I closed down the site so there arent any worries anymore, maybe the only layout from my myspace submissions would be the one called default, the header image is similar but not the same,

i do see in the future, if this were created, people would definitely abuse it and the mods would be closing so many threads down.

i really wanted to see your layout since it supposedly looked a lot like Roxy's. Her concept is nice, and I'm sure if you've created those other layouts, you can pull off your own original layout as well!

i need more affiliates? that aren't myspace affiliates because..i hate myspace resource websites because i hate myspace. :D even though i have one, like the entire world, but i still hate it. :)

okay not gonna lie, kevin, that is exactly like roxy's except yours is blue. and the other layout that is supposedly like that guy "soxyy" oh man, just like "roxy"! .. well anyway, it's semi-similar. but it's not exactly. kevin's is practically the same thing but another version.

okay to tell the truth when it comes to website templates Im completely uinoriginal, why? because you have to get every page to look nice and every page has different content, but myspace is different, the sections are already laid out for you , so when I see nice concepts I would call it more like inmitation practice, besides this is my first domain and my first site, whatever, have your own opinion but express it to me through pms please because I already admitted to being unorigianl and I already took down the layout at least I say Im sorry instead of making up lies like some people, but dont get my submissions into this cause they are 100% original :]

well if you're good at imitating, you'll be even better at creating your own. i give props to the fact that you're a good imitator. that means you're skilled in a way that you know how to get the same outcome, now you just gotta be original.

i really don't mean to single you out, but i just checked out your submissions and i'd have to say that they're more like 50% original. i probably wouldn't have thought twice about it if i hadn't known that you got your "inspiration" from Roxanne, but seriously, how many trees with birds and cityscape backgrounds layout variations can you have? it's like you took this idea that was derived from her portfolio and practically beat it to death with a blue paintbrush and a few adjustments.

i'm not going to argue that anything be taken down because it is a theme that is used and overused, but how many of her concepts are present in your layouts? i'm noticing the borders, the tree, the cityscape, the birds, and the jumping people... am i missing anything?

what you do is not jocking, but rather, a form of imitation that would be acceptable for beginners still getting the hang of designing. but you've submitted, what, 4-5 layouts already? don't you think it's about time to break out of this shell and actually start being creative and thinking up ideas that are really original (or as "original" as "original" can get these days)?

I understand but not all my layouts are that way, I agree I beat it to death, but so does every other designer who has their moments thats why Im havent been submitting lately because it has come to my attention that I need a new style but thanks though:]
