Honestly, You people are really stubborn. You have nothing against religion, sexuality, race, but yet, you hate posers. Maybe being a poser is a new lifestyle. I hate people who hate bands just because they are posers. So what. They make music because they like to. Who gives a fudge if they are posers or not. You people are hypocrites. I expect a debate. Bring it you hypocritical bastards.

If expected a debate, why didn't you put this in the "debate" forum?
I also agree 25% of what you stated in there. Especially these sentences, "I hate people who hate bands just because they are posers. So what. They make music because they like to."

Then I would also expect a MOD to move this topic. Why make something more complicated than it already is?

wink.gif If you just posted this at the debate forum, it would even be less complicated. It depends on which kind of posers you are talking about. The ones you referred to, I could care less. But the other ones... _dry.gif

I don't like people who aren't true to themselves. Maybe they're making music to be cool. Or doing stupid things, whatever the case, if you aren't being true to yourself you can't earn my respect. Posers aren't just musicians. Everyone has been/will be a poser at one point in time. I used to try so hard to fit in, then I realized I didn't know me. Now I do, and I love it. I'll admit that I was a poser for about a year and a half, then I said "Wtf am I doing? This isn't me!"

a poser, in my opinion, is somone who does somthing to fit in, especially if they don't like it. alot of people i call "posers" are people who dress ghetto fabalis one day and the next day they feel hardcore so they dress in all black and stuff. don't be everyone, be yourself.

and if i refer to a band as a poser or posers i'm refering to the sound of their music sounding like another older band. like hwo i say "evanescense is a ripoff of lacuna coil" i'm really saying they sound alike and it makes me mad that the second band to do it is getting all of the glory.

and everyone is a poser. every single one of us. i know i wasn't the first kid to wear knee high socks.

No see, that isn't neccissarily a poser. In fact it isn't. Liking more than one type of style doesn't make you a poser. On the contrary, it makes you an individual because you do what you what rather than POSING to be one particular stereotype.

it's hard to find somone who changes so radiclly in style without having the cool group at school influencing it. they changing to whatever steriotype is "in" that day/week/month.

and sicne when does dress make one an individual? i'm an individual because i'm f'n weird.

yes well everyone's weird in their own way, so you aren't an individual

also, those kids who change styles every month are following certain kids at school who do that. but some kids change their style every month because they're keeping up with the styles. if you're saying everyone who is trendy is a poser, you're entire arguement is invalid

*looks it up*

individual: n:A human regarded as a unique personality:always treated her clients as individuals.

if somone follows the trends they have similar personalities as the fellow followers. theirfore, not that individual. true, i'm not as unique as i might have said, but i know i don't do things cause it's "the cool thing to do". i actially tend to do the opposite.

who tells what the style is that month, anyway? MTV and the cool kids at school. that prooves that following trened is posing.

on top of that! it's erally hard to tell if people are doing it for their own personal choice of the group mentality. but it's exteiemly rare that one does it for him/herself.

ummm actually not, the style is what's IN, and whats IN is what designers from labels such a Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior, etc. design months before. Stores like Abercrombie and Fitch, and all that make cheaper renditions to match the styles introduced by the top designers. yeahhhhh just in case you didn't know smarty. and that's the style because they introduced something that is STYLISH. so people try to buy it. you can only be so different... this is so dumb i can't believe i'm even wasting my time arguing with someone like you

surprise surprise! you're the one telling me that! yea, i was kinda hoping that no one would try to personally knock me, but since when do people respect one another? go kill yourself.

the style that is IN is the one that everyone wants, no matter who designs it or how ugly it really is. who designs studded belts and neck ties? no one knows and no one cares! they just know it looks good to alot of people that they want to fit in with. looking good to them is looking good to everyone else, despite if they hate what they're wearng personally. that's a poser, those are people i look down on, and those are my reasons why.

that's weak.. that's like saying "but yet, you hate liars, hypocrites, and assholes"
p.s. a "poser", as you call it, would fall under liars, wouldn't you think? ;x

Weak? If its weak, show me something. Tell me why you hate posers, and why they should be hated, instead of saying "thats weak."

if you read my entry, i consider "posing" a form of "lying"

not true to yourself >> being not truthful >> lying >> being a LIAR.

and tell me, who likes liars? lol. do you like liars? do you like "hypocrites"? 'cause that's what you're complaining about.. haha. of course people will dislike people who have those 'qualities'. why would you NOT?

Posers conform to the beliefs of others rather then their own.

Anyone can be original and their own person. Drastic changes are fine by me, as long as their doing it for themselves and not to fit in with a target group.

it seems as if you would call a poser anyone who cares about what others think of them... that's not true.

a poser is one who POSES to be something they're not

if they aren't fashionable, they shouldn't try to be, and that's a poser.

there are posers when it comes to every label

but you aren't a poser if you are labelled a certain way, because you do it because you are true to yourself and the way you feel

a poser is one who does something they don't agree with just so they can be in a certain group.

NOT someone who wears the latest fashions

If you think that they ARE posers, that's cool and everything, but keep that dumbass opinion to yourself because i doubt anyone else shares it.

I don't use the word "poser". mellow.gif So I'm not a hypocrite? blink.gif Actually, I don't even think there are posers...hmm...just my opinion. It's just another label, and I don't like labels, so yeah.

if wer're supposed to keep our dumbass opinions to ourselves then why is there even a debate forum?

i know their are people who like the latest fashons in their own minda, which is fine, but when they do it to fit in it's then think they're posers.

i also think one's a poser if you try to be labled a certain way. like wearing somthing so somone thinks you're a thug rather than that it's comfortable or looks good.

and, i dunno why i didn't say this before, but i never said i hate posers. everyone's a poser when it comes down to it. i'm not the one to point the poser-finder's finger and i never have. i just released my definition of it for others to possibly pick up and learn from.

then that's fine, as long as you don't try to start calling people who dress well posers we're good. if you try to dress well just to fit in, chances are you don't look good anyways so it's cool
