Ok when you look at hostmonsters features it says it has unlimited emails and disk space and stuff but when demo sign in it says 1.5 trilibites disk space and 5000 emails. Even though that is practicaly unlimited it is not. it also said you had unlimited, add-on domains, sub domains, parked domains. fist of all what are those and once you sign demo sign in it says you have 999 of those. and how many do you think you need for a website? and does it support php? and how much bandith does it have and what is bandwidth and how much do you need?

I realy need your help.

personally I hate hostmonster, they are using the old ass cheap Cpanel and their webmail sucks, also all the error pages link to hostmonster, dont use them or hostgator either. :]

no, that's a subdomain. an add-on domain is a completely different domain that you just add on to your hosting plan.

like, if you registered your own domain and wanted free hosting, i could put your domain as an add-on to my plan.

but i'm not going to do that, sorry. lol.

i wouldn't recommend them, but i wouldn't say stay away, either.

Does hosti have any hidden stuff cause it seems kinda like a unbeleivable deal.

its like 8 pounds a year (or 16 dollars) to have unlimited disk space bandwith and yoursitename.com/whatever.html.

Im still amazed at what a good deal that is.

When they get more people does that mean it will slow it down.

And how fast are they? like uploading files and how fast your website hosted with them.

it dosent matter where servers are, createblog server are probably in the middle of texas, the fact is the location of the server isnt even a question, I just applied for their free hosting so you should ask them how to convert cash but it shouldnt be a problem

Well they sound reliable so I think I might go with them instead of hostmonster!

i'd say it really depends on what you expect and how much experience you have. hostmonster.com is actually a company with a support line, but if you ask them a question, they may give a pretty vague response and speak in terms you don't understand.

on the other hand, while hostii.net might give you a little bit of a more personalized experience, i feel a little doubtful and i have a couple beefs about it.

first, it's run by a 15 year old kid (kudos for the effort!) so it's unfortunately not very professional. their uptime is at 97.52%, which is an ugly 25 hours of downtime in only 43 days. there also was a period when the owner of hostii.net wasn't answering emails. (i don't know why; i'd just heard it from people who were being hosted there.)

hostii.net has one server, and because it's a rented server, the owner has limited control over it. and with prices as low as they're offering, they're bound to get way to many customers for the server to support, which is going to cause crashing and more downtime. even more than having too many customers is the fact that they're actually hosting multiple hosting sites on the same server. i don't know if it's still true, but cyanide-hosting.com and hostandwalk.com were also on the same server as hostii.net. three different hosts with three different customer bases (all with fairly low prices) will only lead to problems.

as for DreamHost, it completely depends upon which server you get. my own server at DreamHost is at 99.94% uptime for the year, but there are servers there which are crumbling at around 94%. of course, if you go with DreamHost and get a bad server, you can always request to be moved to a different one (pepsi is a good one). their support team is fast, and they actually walk you through steps to fix a problem (and they have a wiki!)
