What's considered late? And do you do this often? If so basically that's an indicator that you're not gettin enough rest. Whether it's your brain, your eyes, or overall your body.

late to me is 10:30 or after, and i don't sleep late often. weekdays i get up at 6 or 7 depending on my class schedule that day. most weekends i end up being up by 9:30 or so. anytime i sleep past then i wake up with one and it drives me crazy.

Hm... when the headaches started... was there anything you added/removed to/from your diet?

Have you been reading a lot more often? Or using the PC a lot more often? Causing any sort of eye strain? Have you become sensitive to light, in terms of vision?

the mornings that i sleep in i probably typically go to bed around 1-ish. last night i went to bed later, but still. i can to bed at 12 or 4 and if i sleep late the next morning i'll certainly have a headache.

edit:

tama - i can't think of anything like that. i mean this is been a problem for me for a long time, it's happened on a regular basis for probably a couple years.

<,< I would highly recommend you make an appointment with a Neurologist. Even a pinched nerve in your foot can cause headaches nearly instantly or when the pressure is off the nerve (while you're sittin down or layin down to sleep) it can cause a bottle neck of pain as soon as you put pressure back on it again.

It's for your best interest. It can become worst... causing a pattern of "chronic daily headaches". Which you really really really really do NOT want. It's uncontrollable pain.

Yes I know what you mean. Sometimes in the morning, I force myself to sleep because I wouldn't want to do any chores or anything. Then when I wake up I get a bad headache. I think it's just because you slept too long.

I don't get headaches when I wake up late, but I find that I get really tired and almost can't wake up if I sleep for a long time. It's strange, and it happened today, because I almost slept for 10 hours last night and I normally sleep 6 1/2 or 7 hours a night. I think getting it checked out is a good idea, esspecially if it's been going on for a long time. I get really bad migraines, and I didn't want to go in, but hopefully they'll be able to help you more than they helped me. There's doctors for everything nowadays.

"We're sorry you're having a headache, JC."

"JC, imagine your headache is a cow."

"Your headache cow is grazing in a field."

"Now...

Kill the cow."

Whenever I get too much sleep is usually when I get headaches. When I get little sleep I hardly ever get headaches.

No, I haven't experienced that, I only get headaches if I wait too long to eat or if I'm angry
