OK! I have finally narrowed down my choices:
For people staff, I will go with Tung, Nate, Yanlin, and Tama: I think that each have strong personalities, that would be suited for this type of job. All are extremely active, although I haven't seen Nate around as much. They all also bring a no nonsense approach to the forums which is a plus. I think that the staff could utilize people like this, who are immensely popular, because they would be able to set the example/standard for other members to follow. For design staff, I will go with Melie, because she is hella good at making things. I am not too fond of what is required of design staff, but I know that she would qualify easily for whatever you guys are looking for. |

HAHA jk tung. anyways tung recently told me that I'm supposed to make some sort of official statement yea? so here is my "statement"! first off I'd like to thank those that even mentioned me in the first place (trish, nate, ruth) because this whole thing honestly came as a kind of surprise to me and if it weren't for them, I would never have even thought about this. I'd also like to say that if I were appointed a position on People Staff, I'd gladly do my best to fulfill the job/demands needed. As Ruth stated, I do get along with most people, but that also doesn't mean that I will neglect my priorities. I won't turn an eye or ignore things just to "get along" with everyone-the popular crowd especially-simply for the sake of making things easier. At the same time, I am always up for meeting new people so I can be counted on to welcome the newcomers and help ease them into our pretty damn esoteric forum. I can maintain my composure and not trip over the perpetual drama here: I've never really been a drama type person because it simply doesn't interest me. Sure I'll partake in the occasional spam/gossip thread but for the most part I try to stay away from it, it's not my thing. Most importantly, Nate mentioned dedication. I am dedicated to the cause of improving cB. I would hate to see cB continue its path down a road of subtly encouraged poor post quality, overall lack of community, and obsession with drama. I'd like to think that should I make it onto People Staff, I'd be in a position able to help with all three of the aforementioned impediments. Nate: It should be pretty obvious why this guy deserves a place on staff. If the fact that he sits down and writes 1000 words (for the first post of his topic, too) on forum reorganization doesn't strike the hiring staff as pure dedication, then there really isn't much hope for this place anymore. Nate is constantly devoting himself to bettering the forums ( debate forum exclusivity, elite clubs, etc) whether or not they are widely accepted. His posts seethe with intellect and in my opinion, cB should be grateful for his willingness to contribute. |
