f**k SCHOOL
This is a debate. If you oppose me make you’re claim. If you agree with me, please share. I have come to the conclusion that school is not always the best option, or even a good one. School not only provides its students with academic knowledge, but with an elitist mentality. What makes a good student a good student? Persistence, availability of resources, and last but not least the bad students from which they are good in comparison to. Without night there would be no day, and without f**k ups there would be no prodigies. At a certain point most people are forced to accept that they aren’t among the elite, the lucky ones pass with a 3.0 and are on the way. For the others, like me, who are struggling to maintain a 2.5 and wish they had a f**king 3.0 things are more difficult. A lot of people who don’t do well in school simply aren’t academically driven. I don’t give a shit. I just want to get my f**king stamp on a paper that says I’m qualified to earn an extra $20,000 a year. Look, we’re all born, right? We’re not all robots programmed to love school. Is it our fault that we get f**ked over because the society we’re born into forces school upon us- lest we suffer existence among the lower class. I think it was the Spartans who used to leave their kids out to die if they were determined too weak to become warriors. I guess it wouldn’t have made sense to let them prove them selves or perhaps not go into the military. Anyway, my point here is that we do they same thing now to people who don’t like school. I can’t get a f**king internship unless I have a 2.8 GPA. I guess they don’t give a shit about your IQ, experience, or other “qualifying” factors. Can you just give me a f**king chance and fire me if I suck, is that such an inconvenience!? I’m not anti school but I’m sick of having to conform to a system where I fail. It’s retarded, literally. I want out of this prison, I want to join the marines and glow blow up some shit for a change. Maybe then I could take some free classes on the side until I get my bull shit stamp on a paper qualifying me to move up economically. the only thing holding me back is that you join as an enlisted if you don’t have your bachelors, which is kind of a big deal. I would love being an enlisted but shit I may as well finish these two years of hell. I hope God is real. Getting to heaven almost sounds easier than succeeding at life for a homework hating fun loving kind of guy like me. If I were absolutely positive there was an afterlife I’d either join the seminary or jump off a bridge to speed up the progression (kidding). But seriously suicide is no joke, which brings me to another point I’d like to make. Some people like the kid who killed himself at the U of M in 2006/07 just can’t deal with the pressures forced upon them and expected from them. This is unquestionable proof that school is not always a healthy environment. If people are so f**king stressed out that they start killing themselves this ought to be a red flag. I’m going to rant some more but I’m done for now. Sometimes joining the system is the best way to take it down. |

Well maybe you shouldn't be so stupid, and work a bit harder to get a 3.0. Quit complaining you dumb f**k.

Nice diatribe. Just so you know, you have a lot of punctuation issues.
A 3.0 isn't that good. That'd get you into a state university. School isn't really there to evaluate your life experience, and IQs are meaningless because you can't measure intelligence. High school is there to waste four years of your life, and you can either be really good at pissing that time away or you can't. Don't hate because you suck at school. Proving to the world that you want to "blow shit up" isn't going to get you good grades or a good reputation. |

I think education is pretty damn important. I loved school and the education I received. Though I must admit I'm very disappointed with highschool history class because they misinformed me of our own American History.

Well at least you don't live in a state that is behind every other state on education, so like, to put it bluntly, most of us texans are stupid if we got an education in texas.

of course any kind of history is bullshit. you just have to take in what you know from all sources. and you have to remember, that most of history that are written are from dictators and rulers. they get to say what is written and what isn't. so our history is pretty much bullshit, but that's all we have.

Yeah but how come in Ireland, Italy, hell even the Dominican republic, they're very strict with historical lessons?.... Here in the U.S. they sort of half ass us and tell us we're knowledgeable just cuz we got an A in the class. The sad part is... our teachers are just as stupid for not standing up and demanding that our senate changes our education for the better. I'm sick of being told that Thanksgiving is about giving and receiving and sharing in general. Or the date of Thanksgiving is authentic... bullshit, the celebration of Thanksgiving is the celebration of slaughtering and oppressing the Native Indians who finally gave in and let the White man take their land and resources. And the reason why Thanksgiving has had its date changed soo many times was to confuse the American public as to why we celebrate it and leave us without a clue as to what it really stands for. And the true reason why it was moved to November was because it was made for an economy booster. On top of that thanksgiving at first wasn't about pigging out and eating as much as you possibly could eat. It was a day of fasting. /rant -,- |

why don't you have a 3.0? Lol exactly. I don't think I ever tried in Highschool, and I still got a 3.7 GPA. If you get under a 3.0, you're just dumb. I never spent more than one hour a night throughout my 4 years of highschool on homework in a day. It was school 9am-3pm. Go home. Eat. Shower. Do homework for 30 minutes. Done. Go play video games, hang out. I never once really tried. |

school is what you make of it, like most things in life. so i don't really get your rant.
edit: i don't go to church because i don't believe in it. i don't know how you could not believe in learning though...i don't get that comparison either. if you're saying it's a waste of time because you don't learn anything, then i'd think that your fault anyway. |

i just don’t care, you know? i guess it’s like asking someone why they don’t go to church It's no one's fault but your own. You make you, if you don't care about your education, then life isn't goin to care about you. It's a beautiful science... get your game up bro, don't give up on education, you're only f**kin yourself. Trust that. |

I had a 3.3 in HS. D: But that's because I was shitty at math and science. hahahha. Mmm same. I think a lot of people exaggerate how easy they found high school, though. If you took easy classes, fine. But if you took higher level, you should at least have had time consuming work, even if it was pretty easy. I procrastinated and half-assed everything (still do) and made decent grades in the subjects I was good at, but I still had a lot of shit to do. |

Mine too. Even the class I got a D in was an easy class, I'm just retarded. Pretty much nothing I'd had to do has been difficult...I'm just lazy.

I think a lot of people exaggerate how easy they found high school, though. If you took easy classes, fine. But if you took higher level, you should at least have had time consuming work, even if it was pretty easy. Wrong! I took a lot of honors and AP classes, and still didn't spend over an hour a day on homework. I finished them so easily. I dunno. I was just naturally smart or a sucess in Highschool. Highschool was so easy. My freshman year in college was harder than 4 years of highschool combined. Isn't a 3.0 just... having straight Cs for 4 semesters? My mom used to woop my ass when I got Ds in 9th and 10th grade :( 3.0 is straight B's. |
