Today, John Pizzarelli and his Trio came to my school (which his son attends) and played with my jazz band class, and honestly, they blew me away. Each member of the quartet was on a level completely unknown to the rest of the modern music world. They are truly professionals, and are greats even in the ridiculously talented jazz world. f**king incredible, really. In May, we're playing a school concert with them, too.
