Yeah, so I saw one last night (should clarify that my mate got his out to show because people were curious, so have some context there), and all I can say is that it looks like the most horrifying thing ever, although apparently it didn't hurt...

A lot of people get their sexual-things pierced because it heightens sexual feeling (if the piercing is done correctly). Obviously, it's not going to be very attractive, considering the sexual organs themselves are completely hideous.
