I currently have a layout site, but have been on hiatus. I recently received a comment, just asking the usual, but then said "sorry about the ad." Maybe I'm just paranoid, but on my main site, when the page first loads an ad pops up, but then disappears. Is there anything to worry about, or can you help?

Can you log in and then take a screenshot before the ad goes away? This has never happened to me before.

Check your private profile - you should see the ad on the top of the page. My ad doesn't display consistently in the public preview either.

well, it appears in public or private, but just when it first loads. I'm not sure why. It's only on this site. here's my screen shot. or you can look at it yourself. here.

I think there's just something that's conflicting with your codes and the ads that Xanga force on everyone's site. I'm not sure what there is to worry about, but when I viewed it, it was a very quick, one-second show up and then it just disappeared. Have you tried applying a new layout to see what happens, and getting rid of the Javascript or anything like that?

That's happened to me before, it's just that the page is loading and thene your codes override the ad, so you see it for a split second before your codes take effect.

Actually, for me, it's just an ad that drops down at the top of my Xanga page. It doesn't really go away, but it minimizes to the top of the screen, at the normal Xanga area, if you click on the "X"

I was on xanga the other day and I noticed the same thing, but like the others said it just dissapears so it's nothing to worry about.
