So, I tried my first retouch after being inspired by gigiopolis with his retouch of Katherine Heigl. This is my retouch of the exact image:

Anddd... since that retouch I decided to try something a little harder. I found this picture of Jamie Lee Curtis. I did not want to take away every single line and wrinkle because, well, she's old lol. I just tried to lessen the deepness of them (I guess thats a good way to put it). BTW: don't mind her right earring... it somehow became discolored but i'm way too lazy to fix it :P

//EDIT March 28:
okay, so i tried to make the teeth more... un blurred? and for the smudge.. i did not change much in that area but i couldn't take take out the smudge... also i tried adding the tan back, but i'm having trouble putting back the color without making it look cakey. any tips?

PLEASE i need all the criticism i can get! I really wanna become better at retouching :)

I like them. But, in the Heigl after picture, it kind of looks like she has a piece of tape at the right (of her face). Maybe it`s just me.
I also love the hair on the Curtis retouch. _smile.gif

It's the watermark she put. :P

On the Heigl one, I like how you nicely maintained the skin texture while dramatically reducing all that makeup.

I really like them both. For some reason, I love the color of the lips in the Heigl one. And iono if its just me but it seems like theres a little smudge in the Curtis one.. shrug.gif

Edit:
Since I can't really explain where the smudge is..

It might just be me.. shrug.gif

in the first one the color looks really washed out and she is too pale

the second one i would have taken all of the grey out of her hair and added some kind of hair extentions and also of gotten rid of more of the wrinkles around her face

The Katherine retouch was pretty good, but I have to agree that she's just way too pale. :P. I really like the color of the lipstick that you added in though. It fits her much better. The Jamie Lee Curtis one was just.... a bit of a mess. Her teeth is blurry, and so is her face. It's mostly the teeth that looks extremely awkward. It would be better if you made her face look a bit younger. It doesn't really look like it was retouched at all. shrug.gif And her face is just way too pale. You should have kept a bit of her tan. I think you did a pretty good job :).

like i said, i didn't want to make her look dramatically younger... i still wanted to keep her around the age that she is now but with less wrinkles and grey hair. i tried taking out more wrinkles but the healing brush isn't working out very well.
