hello biggrin.gif
to be honest i'm been around CB for a while, but i've not really looked around the forums and stuff.
at the moment im not accepting friends on my CB account, but it would be great to have a chat with people here, as i don't really know anyone.
so if anyone's up for that, great!
much appreciated :)

Hello =)

I'm going to move this to Introductions, since that is where the meet and greet usually takes place.

Welcome (even though you're not "new") and feel free to PM to chat or what not anytime.

Hi there. :). I'm glad you decided to venture onto the forums. My name is Vinity and it's great to meet you. :]. Why don't you accept people no your cB account? It's a good way to make friends, and you can also speak and chat with people. Anyways, I can see that you're a designer? :d. Well if you have any questions regarding the forum or anything, feel free to send me a PM or any other fellow moderator. Happy posting and see you around. ;).

Hey! How ya doin... warning, whatever you do, do not fall for their kindness. Once you open up and let them know your dirty lil secrets, they'll exploit them and exploit you til you either commit suicide or leave the forum board.

True story.

ugh. im rubbish at posting in the room forum sorry.
it isn't spam. just couldn't see anywhere that people were making new conversation and getting to know each other all together. there were just random little things going on. maybe im wrong, sorry if this post is going to highly displease anyone :|
thanks for moving it though :)

and i've got no idea why i don't accept friends. does anyone else do the same thing? its probably because its the same for myspace, i only accept people as friends who i know in person or as friend of a friend. suppose its a stupid custom to continue onto a CB account, but it works for me..until wanting to get to know people. hence why this topic would be a bit relevant. :D

No worries on the spam. I think there was a topic created right before this that was of the spam variety so it was one of those at the wrong time and the wrong place scenarios. ;)

I used to be that way with MySpace. I still am for the most part because I don't visit there all that often and I'm sick of people trying to sell me crap or invite me to shows/performances that are located thousands of miles away from where I live.

I'm less picky about friends on my profile here, because usually the only ones who will comment are those you keep up with me on a somewhat regular basis. Sadly though, my cBProfile tends to be a dust catcher.

haha!
it would be nice if more people introduced themselves inside of these posts so that new people, [or in my case "new" having not been here for a few months] can meet other new people and advanced users easier.
can someone explain winks to me and the little blue boxes below peoples avatars? i worked the site out before joining but that's one thing i've not been able to find information about.

and has anyone else worked on every single photoshop?
i'd like to chat to them to see how they've developed their style, as it's how i started with photoshop, right at CS elements :|

what a mixed post.

I don't know what winks are or what purpose they serve, but it's just to acknowledge the person. The blue boxes have a technical term of which I don't remember, but they are basically indicators according to the amount of posts you have. I have 2,100+ posts, so I have, like, four or five blue boxes. I wouldn't worry too much about them.

I hope that answers your question, and welcome to CreateBlog. I saw you on another thread, and I hope to see you giving more constructive criticism around here.

Hello again =)

Yep, as Whitney (MissHygienic) pointed out, the little blue boxes represents a certain amount of posts you have under your belt (the blue boxes are typically called "pips").

As far as Photoshop goes, I've worked with PS6, PS7 and CS. I don't remember much of a difference between PS7 and CS, but I noticed a huge difference from PS6 to PS7. Of course, that's just an instant memory off the cuff recollection, I'd have to think more on it to remember the difference. And now that I'm thinking about it, I'm wondering if the difference I saw was between PS7 and CS, not PS6 and PS7. XD

I knew a guy that only worked in Elements and he was able to produce graphics that easily rivaled those I've seen created with a full blown Photoshop.
