I really want to get a Graphics tablet so I can do my fashion design sketches on my computer as well as on paper, and I was wondering if anyone could suggest what kind of tablet I should get, or what compant to get it from. I use Photoshop CS3 Extended. |

I have a wacom tablet. If you do plan on getting one I just want to point out to not expect to be amazing at first. It takes a lot of practice to get use to it.

I have a wacom "bamboo". its taken a bit of time to get used to but i think its the best 50 bucks ive spent and i definately recommend it if you're serious about your designing.
go here for some info i think you might find helpful: http://www.photoshopsupport.com/tools/wacom-pen-tablets.html |

Wacom is by far the best and most widely accepted tablet to use for any sort of designing. I just bought a bamboo fun medium the other day (still waiting for it to arrive) but i've used the Intuos before. The only downside is that the Bamboo fun only has 512 levels of pressure sensitive while the graphire and intous have 1000+ plus something. then of course there is the Cintiq *dreams* of how i want that. It has a monitor type screen so that u see an image of ur screen and can draw right onto it. of course the price is a bit heavy. 1700 for the 12" or nearly 4 grand for the 23" model. This is in Australian dollars though coz thats where i live.
Hope that helps. |

I have a wacom graphire and it works great; but they sell the bamboo now. i guess it's better? lol.
the size of the tablet depends on how big your stroke is. if you write small, get the smaller tablet, if you write big, get the bigger one. |
