I have been suffering from acne problems and sometimes they really get worse. I have tried many of the anti-acne products available but I am not satisfied with them as I feel that the results they give are just a matter of time. Can anyone suggest me a good remedy for this?

steam your face. stay inside the house and don't sweat. stop touching your face.

actually you're hopeless.

pro-activ only works on some people. not everybody. but its a good try.

Get your ass on accutane! It helps, but there are sever side effects for some people (smal percentage).

uh run the sink with hot boiled water. and place your face over the hot water in the sink, and the pores on your face will be released then you can wash your face with maybe proactiv.

Proactiv sucks. No offense Trish, cause I heard you use it.

I suggest the next time you go to your doctor, you can ask them if they can prescribe some type of cream for you. I have this wonderful cream that works wonders for me when I apply it on my pimples. Try washing your face twice a day (don't over wash it) and also, DO NOT POP THEM! It just spreads the oil and bacteria (hence, you will get even more pimples). If this helps out, there's a thread about how to get rid of zits here. Proactiv doesn't seem to work for some. I heard it just makes all of your pimples come out at one time, and then after it's all out, it treats it then. :P My only suggestion that I used is asked for a prescribed cream or this type of bottle with a sponge on it. Ask your doctors to prescribe it for you the next time you go, or whenever you're available.

This is just one of the most basic problems that most people encounter. I too had been through this and I am really happy to say that it was just a passing affair. I had tried a lot of remedies unless I used Clearly Gone. This product definitely suits your problem as you can see the results as you use it. This is just my opinion as I can feel your pain of being troubled by acne problems and would be happy that someone is relieved by the problem which had troubled me.

i've been using differin since middle school and it's worked pretty well for me. i still use it every night.

but you should DEFINITELY talk to a dermatologist because that's the best way to come up with some sort of a solution.

in the meantime, you can look through these topics:

Proactiv didn't so shit for me. Dermatologists are pretty hesistant about putting people on acutane, though. So make sure you're seeing one, and they'll probably try you on a bunch of ointments and antibacterials, but if your acne is actually really bad, acutane is the way to go. I've had a few friends ask me for advice on acutance, and nearly all of them have gone to the dermatologist and been told that their acne wasn't severe enough. Basically, the best thing you can do it just to see a dermatologist, and try out what they've prescribed, because it's going to do more than anything you can get over the counter.

sleep early, don't stress too much, be healthy, as in play sports outsides, sweat once a day, and wash your face everyday and do not let it dry

its hard to recommend acne treatment for anyone because we do have different type of skin and each product or remedy will react differently with each of us.

i just read this in June 08 "maire claire", they talk about isolaz. Isolaz is powered by a breakthrough technology called Photopneumatics (Photo = light-based, Pneumatics = vacuum) which is the only therapy in the world that combines a vacuum with a painless laser to deep cleanse and purify your pores from the inside out.

2 words. benzoyle peroxide.
its the only thing that kills the germ that is causing acne.
everything else just cleanses but the germ is still there.
got it? good.

If its really bad, go to your doctor.
Im on anti-biotics for mine, and its cleared up ok, not the best, but then thats cystic acne for you.

Also, if your old enough or your mum and doctor are ok with it, go on the pill. The doctor offered it to me because apparently it works beautifully! :)

Chlorine. Pour pure chlorine on your face. It will either clear it up, or it will melt your face.

If she's really that bad then go to a doctor and he'll probably give you prescription lotion and maybe some pills. Do it before it's too late and you start to get scars.
