Honestly, I do. Love doesn't know time or age...isn't that how it goes?

But that's because I've seen some good, true examples of it.

I have to say, though......I think it's pretty darned rare. Most of the time high school is for expiramenting. I think too many hearts get broken in high school.

But that's just me. thumbsup.gif

I think it's rare, but right now that's what it feels like for me. :)
My friend's parents went out since 9th grade, were homecoming queen and king and have been married ever since they left college. Sounds too good to be true but it's true!

There's this one couple at my school who have been together since Third grade! Their still together right now as Sophomores. They're probably gonna get married.

I definitely know its possible as I know some people who were high school sweethearts and ended up married, but the majority of high school relationships I know of haven't lasted like that at all.

i definitely think so..my boo & i went out for over a year and it was the best relationship i ever had. i really grew up in my decisions and it was my own dumb mistakes that broke up apart. we're probably one of the few couples (together or not together) that will be thought of as high school sweethearts and have a functional life in the future.

I don't think it happens all too often. Esspecially after graduation, and they go to different schools. People change. There have been some people that I know who dated in high school and are still happily married, but there are other that got married young and are now divorced.

It's most definitely possible. My sister is in college, and when she got with her boyfriend during senior year, they've been together ever since. They're together for about 2 years and this year'll be there 3rd. It's not as common as it was before, but it's most definitely possible as long as the two are able to commit to each other and such. Also, my uncle dated his girlfriend in high school and now they're happily married. :). They've been together for about 10 years I think.

It's rare. What you can feel in highschool is the expectation of love. Love wants for nothing and expects everything. I don't think highschoolers can give that at their age; but you do get an occasional exception to that.

stop posting the same shit over and over again.

the topic title is misleading. But anyways, it's possible, very difficult. Everyone I've known who had a boyfriend/girlfriend from highschool, they've all broken up.

My brother and future sister-in-law have been together since junior year of high school and they're getting married October of 09. My brother is now out of college and she is in her last semester of college. Perfect example of that _smile.gif

Eh, I thought that junior high school love would last but of course that didn't work out the way I planned. As for high school love, you do have your occasional high school sweethearts but there are some that find their sweeties later in their years.

I think love in highschool is just a cliche... a trend.. in order to not feel lonely and to fit in with the rest of drones at school. But there's nothin wrong with puppy love that then grows into a real mature love.

Because we all know they didn't start developing love feelings in college.
