For all of you with babies, kids, and pets out there. Maybe its just me, but whenever I wake up or come home I have to hear the sound of my dog barking or if hes just lying down, I have to see if he moves or hes breathing. I guess I'm just scared that one day I'll wake up or come home and he won't be. sad.gif Am I the only one with this fear? I wonder if this is how I'll be when my baby comes.

i do that, too. my dog has a wheezing problem, and sometimes in the middle of the night he rolls over and can't breathe. he sleeps on a big ottoman in my room, so i could keep an eye on him. i'm just afraid one day i don't wake up when he's having one of his attacks ;[

I have this with my goldfish. I'm terrified that my big aquarium will one day burst or something so any noises in the night and I'm up with a flashlight checking the goddamn glass. Haha.

Ah, yesss! I hate this. When I just got my dog, I wouldnt even sleep because I was so scared he would get into something and choke while I was sleeping.
But now its kinda better, but when he barks in the night, I have to check on him in case somthings wrong.

And I have three boys, Mason, Garrison, and Bryson that are usually over, and their only babies (4, 3, 2) so when they sleep over I have to have them on my bed and I wake up a million times during the night to check on them.
(My cousins kids, their pretty much like my own)

Sometimes. It doesn't happen everyday. There have been times that I just start thinking about something happening, or I have a bad dream about my pets or family (weird, I know) and no matter what time it is I have to make sure they're okay.

No I feel the same. I went to away for a weekend, came back and Cecil (my hamster) was dead. Since then I kind of got paranoid with my pets. (well brother's pets)

The entire time my son was in a crib I slept with my hand on his chest (my bed was obviously next to the crib) to make sure he was breathing. Of course having SIDS warnings drilled into my brain didn't help.

Certain things I've been able to get over. Like fish. I've had so many fish die on me I hardly expect them to LIVE anymore.
