So, I really don't know where I'm suppose to post in if I have an issue with some one stealing my code. I'm sorry if this is the completely wrong place to put it but, I feel that it is imperative for me to report this since this person seems to prudently claim otherwise.

Here is MY LAYOUT.
Here is the COPIED STYLE SHEET.

They claim that their "friend" coded the layout right in front of them, which is quite impossible since my layout was released before theirs.

Now if you would please look at the code, you will find that they are EXACTLY the same.

It's just upsetting that this happens and there is NO ONE I can contact to help alleviate the situation.

I'm sorry for sounding rude towards the staff. I know it's humanly impossible for anyone to check those amount of layouts. I was just upset at the moment. I'm really sorry once again, it was misdirected un-vented anger. Yes, I do have issues. Heh. -_-;

& THANK YOU for actually putting up with my whinyness.

there are a lot of people you can contact to help alleviate the situation. the design staff and headstaff are available via PM, and also making this topic is a huge step in the right direction.

as for checking layouts before they go through. yes we do that, but why don't you go ahead and count how many layouts we have on cb. it's not like we remember each layout off the tops of our heads, or have time to check every single layout against every other layout to see if the coding is the same.

now, i'll go ahead and delete the other person's submission.

Just a fact.... we're human beings not computerized reviewers. We can't memorize everyone's code. Just to let you know. rolleyes.gif

Also if you don't know who to contact to help you in these situations, that's not really our problem. You could start with the reviewer recorded on the submission. I guess that would be making too much sense.

You guys should have someone develop a simple open sourced program that can check each layout and saved into the database, so if any layout is an exact match in coding it can flag it and you guys can reject it :P

If there is ever a problem with a layout , anyone has the option to report it to staff by PMing them. Linking the layouts with proof that it is stolen. So really a report button is already what we have. On the side of the layout it says the reviewers name, simply PM that person. And BAM! there you go.

Another hint: Probably not a good idea to insult us when you want our help.

there are a number or problems with that. myspace coding is usually very similar because its basically the same thing over and over. some people also just reuse their own coding. also it's not really "us guys," it's just jusun.

I supposing I should probably delete this post now?
Seeing as how everything was taken care of.
Once again, I apologize.
It was incredibly rude & naive of me to say the things I had said and I'm sorry if I offended any one for it wasn't my intentions.

On a side note, I thought I would just be pestering the reviewer if I contacted them individually.

I'll just close the thread for you. Staff are here for a reason. So as you may now know just PM them. It's not like these situations never come up.
