Has anybody lucid dreamt before?

OH! I was talking about this the other day. Isn't it when you can control what you do in your dreams? Pfft. I wish I could do it. Life would be so much easier.

I used to be able to but only for a few seconds before waking up. I haven't tried in a while.

It takes practice, for sure. All it takes though, is to recognize that things are off and to click yourself into the fact that you are dreaming.

You guys should watch Waking Life if you're interested in dreams.

Light switches don't work in your dreams. Try it!

Only happens to me once in a while... mainly right before I wake up.

I can lucid dream every so often. There's nothing more liberating than "living" your every whim.

i don't understand. i thought most dreams were lucid... maybe just me. i could fly when i want and do things when i want, but i never really get to choose the place. is choosing the setting also part of lucid dreaming?

either way, i don't see the appeal. i'd rather have a dream where i completely don't know wtf is going on, and random stuff just happens. it's just not fun when you can control stuff; it feels just like regular life.

lol, well do it so often in my dreams. it's basically my main source of transportation, except when i don't have control over it. but yah, i guess it does feel like real life (walking).

btw when i fly, i choose to walk-fly. i get nauseous when i lfy like superman does. so i just "walk" in the air. it feels bouncy... actually it's more like riding a bouncy bike. but i guess that's why it also feels normal to me. the only real cool part is when i jump from a high place to another high place... but in real life, you could just go on a trampoline.

FLYING
To dream that you are flying, signifies a sense of freedom where you had initially felt restricted and limited.

Perhaps that's why.

Hokay then.

Back to the topic: Last night I dreamt I was on a train. Either that, or I fell asleep on a train after a night out. It's kinda fuzzy.

Agreed. That's on a personal interpretation... not some other person claiming to know how to read dreams. Just sayin.

I wish I could. I always know I'm in a dream, but I can't ever escape. I remember one time in a dream I tried to control what was going then I just said, "F*ck it" and just went along with it.

The worst is when you have a dream, you wake up... remember all of it, but the more you think about it, the more you start to forget.

This has happened to be a number of occasions. I'm not sure why. It might have something to do with the fact that I don't typically sleep well, or that I perpetually have a lot in my mind. It always f**ks me up though.

Recently I had one where I was in a car dealership. The guy was talking backwards and I really hated him. He's like all the f**king dealers or auto repair guys I've run into that piss me off. All dressed up and smug faced. I had no idea WHY I was there but I started panicking for some reason. Then I sort of saw myself, watched myself looking pissed off and twitchy. At that point I knew I was dreaming and started laughing. The whole thing was so cartoon-y, it was comical.

As an aside, I have been having troubles with my truck and as it is my only means of transportation, it has been on the forefront of my mind.

LOL In other words, when your truck dies... you're gonna have to deal with that one car salesman that's gonna make wanna kill him but there's nothin you can do because you gotta get a new car, no matter how bad you don't want him getting commission off of you!

Erm... I just interpreted your dream o.O (hypocrisy at its finest)
