i think it's more common now.
all the second borns in my family have eczema and i have a few friends who have it too or someone in their family does. i've had it since i was born. it was terrible when i was little but i didn't have it too severely. i've kind of grew out of it. but in the fall/winter my skin breaks out. it sucks cause it's really apparent on my face. my body does not have it except my inner elbows and knuckles (which sucks, i can't wear rings, because it would then draw attention to it) for my face, i literally moisturize constantly in the winter! and i can't wear make up to hide it either since my skin will like flake and appear even more dry. so i just bear it. ![]() i did use this one prescription ointment, i forgot what it's called but i've stopped for now. it bleached parts of my face and now i have these weird blotches. my doctor just told me to wait the winter out. i was wondering if anyone else has it here too? when was it worst for you? what was it like in your childhood? what is it like now? how do you treat unexpected breakouts? doesn't the winter just suck? what lotions/creams/prescription ointments do you use? |
