No right click script. Options

Well, I just want to know if there's like a "no right click script for Myspace." You know how on Xanga there's a script that won't let you "right click" on the page. So, people can't hignlight or get anything from your page. I'm just wondering if there's one for Myspace. That's all. Thanks to who ever would try to help me. I honestly don't know if there's a code for Myspace since disabling right-click involves using javascript and to my knowledge, Myspace does not support javascript. I'm almost positive that there isn't a way to disable right clicking, but I could be wrong as there are people here MUCH more experienced with Myspace than I am.

Also, there are ways to get around people right-clicking and saving your images - it would involve displaying them as background images, and slightly more complicated but worth it if that's what you're wanting to do.

Unfortunately, there is no fool-proof way for you to protect your content from people who want to copy it. No matter what you do, if someone is determined enough to take something, the sad truth is that they will. The best approach is to look at it with thick skin and take it as a compliment when they do.

Theres no way to get the no right click script for myspace. Myspace doesn't allow javascript, so there isn't anyway for this. The only other thing to do is what dani suggested.

If your wanting to protect text or anything, your out of luck considering people can highlight and press CTRL+C, and then of course anyone that knows what their looking for, can simply look through your source

A quick word of advice - elaborating on what Dani has already said:

Disabling right clicking will only piss your visitors off. If they want to copy an image, script, blog, piece of writing etc - they will do, regardless of so-called "protection scripts". Either through viewing your source code or taking a screenshot of your page.

I really recommend that you do not use such an irritating script (not that Myspace supports the Javascript required anyway!) - it's immature and does nothing but provide a mild challenge for potential thieves. It's also an extreme deterrent for any visitor that uses the right mouse button to open new tabs.

A lot of "new" web designers tend to use scripts like this because they believe it will protect their material - they learn later on that no matter what they do, there is a way around it, and an easy one at that.

When I see the no right-click script, I'm often very turned off by the site and consider it to be quite amateur, to put it nicely. I'm not even trying to steal something - sometimes I'm curious as to the format of an image or I may have just right-clicked by accident.

The reason for that is that myspace doesn't allowed JavaScript and that takes a JavaScript
