A/N: Not my best. But hey, I try. And it's been a while since I've written anything anyway. Critique it has harshly as you wish.
=========== Garden of Life You wake one morning, and your face is dry. The earth's in your fingers, and the sun's in your eye. The songs of the birds awaken in your ears, and last night's nightmare can't rouse your fears. Where will it take you? This golden morning you see? What will it accomplish spawning dawn's opportunity? And the scent of the flowers flow through your nose. The water is running from your eyes' garden hose, streaming down smooth valleys: fields wreathed in pink. Down it falls off the white cliff and into a bottomless sink. Or catch it in your fingers, fingers clenching earth, and water the muddy garden and in spring, give it birth. |
