My first interview was for a vetinary assistant. I didn't get the job - I was nervous as hell and up against a lot of other teens wanting to build portfolios before uni.
My next job interview was much better - and I was up against 3 days' worth of applicants. Sure, it was only a weekend job at a well-known retailer; but I did it! I duty manager for them now, which is uber. There's nothing like a job to boost confidence and initiative! |

My first job was with my uncle so there was no interview...
I think my first interview was for Superstore (a grocery store) and I thought it went well but I got no call. ![]() Some time later, I went to the job fair at the mall and got 5 interview and got 4 job offers. It was awesome. ![]() |

My first interview was for this jewelry kiosk at a mall. They only sell silver jewelry so I couldn't wear my gold (hey, I'm Indian and we wear tons of gold) and I had to wear visible make-up (lipstick at least and I'm not fond of lipstick). I guess my face showed my disinterest and I didn't get a call back. :P The first place I left my resume was also a fashion jewelry store but I didn't get a call. Then I applied to a huge retailer and my interview went well and I got the job. Pretty good for a first job.
Oh, and the elderly are definitely worse than kids. |

Congrats; so what's your job?
I've never been to a job interview. I'll probably apply for a job later this year. |

When speaking of McDonalds, I highly disagree that "professional" is a word of choice to describe McDonalds.

maybe so, but i doubt the position they got (assuming it was attained at mcd's) is considered professional.

When speaking of McDonalds, I highly disagree that "professional" is a word of choice to describe McDonalds. but then again maccas is one of the top fast food organizations in the world and they earn billions in profit each year AND they hire over 56,000 employees a year in australia alone you know how i know all this.... ..... ..... beacuse i have to do a 3 hour online initiation course just to learn the basics ![]() its so boring and their monitoring me too I keep forgetting that things are a little different in the states. >_< i dunno what its like in the states but i guess since there are millions more ppl living there its probably 10x as big ![]() i do know that maccas tastes completely different here in Australia (when i say different i mean better) ![]() What'd you apply for? Office bitch? you know, its hard to tell whether i like you or not ![]() |

my first job interview was pretty normal...
the first thing the manager said to me after "hi, how're you doing" and etc was "so tell me about yourself." i made him laugh the whole way through. it was simple :P i met the rest of the staff pretty much that day. |

but then again maccas is one of the top fast food organizations in the world They're one of the top food chains because they're everywhere and it's a quick fix for dinner.and they earn billions in profit each year AND they hire over 56,000 employees a year in australia alone They make millions because, again, they're everywhere. The number of employees doesn't really show professionalism...with those numbers, it could mean that they'll just higher anyone. Maybe they used to be professional to get to the top, but once they reached it, it's a backburner activity. |
