I'm not a big fan of Neutrogena products. They have never worked for me. I have mildly oily to oily skin throughout the day but it becomes dry in the winter, so I use that three-step method to have a clear face. I wash with a gentle facial cleanser sans a washcloth because that can irritate the acne even more, apply a benzoyl peroxide cream, let it dry, and then apply Eucerin moisturizer. Works like a charm.

I have really oily skin in my T-zone and it's pretty normal in my other areas. I get hella acne, too. I've never liked Neuotrogena products. Shiseido FTW.

I've never cared for neutrogena; makes my skin dry, and it doesn't even work.
I actually DO use Proactiv (not consistently though), and it REALLY DOES WORK. But like I said, be consistent. |

I'd just like to say that Proactiv's effectiveness wears off the more you use it. I've tried it, as well, and it worked miracles for the first, like, month and then it stopped. Whether it works or not at all depends on your skin. Plus, it's like $40 for a set whereas if you bought over-the-counter products, it'll save you a lot of money.
For something like a Johnson & Johnson facial cleanser, benzoyl peroxide cream, and Eucerin moisturizer, it'd come up to be, like, $25 max. It really does work, and my skin is awfully prone to acne, too. Try it. |

oh, also the eucerin user up there. what kind do you use? my friend got this case full of wash, toner, and moisturizer and i used it on and off for the longest time because she'd give me a little bottle every now and then. they were like little tiny bottles. it worked miracles for me. anyways, what kind do you use and where did you get it? |

Oh, I know, Eucerin products are god-send. Their moisturizers are light-weight and not heavy/greasy on the skin, applies easily, and it repairs your skin at the same time. I currently use the one with the green cap called, "Eucerin Skin Renewal" with SPF 15. I apply it in the morning and before I sleep. I've heard, however, that they have discontinued it? But I think the "regular" moisturizer works just as well. They have it everywhere in drugstores, but here is an example of it online. |

Really? I may or may not have heard that. Doesn't surprise me. How long have you been using Proactiv? I've known 3 people who have used it for half a year, and then canceled their subscription because it just stopped working. Which, really, makes me skeptical of everything "big" advertised on television. |

Eucerin really is love, though. I just can't remember the kind I was using...it makes me stressful. yeah, I was thinking they just don't make it anymore. the only Eucerin product i've tried and didn't like was like this oober moisturizer for dry skin with green tea and everything...talk about over-moisturization.

For me? No, not at all. I don't even know what the "white film" is unless the person just expected that the moisturizer would apply itself on her face without having to gently rub it into your face. I swear by it. If it's shit, I will give you my first-born.
This particular one at least does not leave a white film. The point of moisturizer is to, uh, moisturize the face so that dry skin doesn't flake off. And if you could find the one in the link, you won't be disappointed. |

Yeah Eucerin moisturizers are amazing.
I just got the zeno pro for christmas and I thought it wasn't going to do shit but I've only been using it for a day and already it's working. It's really expensive, but it works well. |

I use a Neutrogena pore minimizer face cleanser and it works really well.. I think my face doesn't need anything strong for it to work so yeah. I might have to pick up some Eucerin moisturizers though!

I haven't personally used those particular products. I have friends who use so many different otc medications that it's ridiculous. Consistency definitely is key. I have used Neutragena products and they have been very gentle, except for scrubs. Proactiv, as mentioned does work but seems to be an ephemeral treatment. I use it at night and it is still working well though. It really just depends on your skin. You said you have oily sensitive skin that dries out during the winter, that is similar to how my skin is. I'd suggest using salicylic acid or BP at night and using something natural in the morning. I use honey, castor oil, or MOM in the morning. I know that the laxatives seem a bit strange, but it great on skin.

Even though a lot of people here said that Neutrogena didn't work for them, it does for me. I have been using Neutrogena Cream Cleanser for about 3 years and it works fine. The Neutrogena scrubs are kind of harsh though.
I think you just have to find the one that works for you. We have all different skin types and therefore, should have to use different products. Thankfully, mine cleanser only costs my daddy (because I don't have an allowance) 6 dollars a year. I think it's a pretty good deal. :] |

I use Stridex
Stri-Dex Maximum I also don't wash my face with the same soap that I use on my body. I use a white dove cleansing bar for my face and I was it with a 100 percent cotton all white rag. |
