It would certainly help if you could give us a link to your livejournal, but this is likely your problem: you don't have a website listed in your profile.

Follow this link to edit your profile:
http://www.livejournal.com/manage/profile/

Then scroll down to where it says "Web Page" and enter a link into the box. It doesn't matter where you link to, as long as you have something there.

This is because on your layout, there's a field for your website and the LJ overrides take advantage of that code to display the header image. If you don't have a website specified, that part of the layout will not show up at all.
