Finding Friend ID Options

i followed the instructions for pasting a new layout but i dont understand the bit wher it says

replace the XXXXXXXX's with ur friend id

what and wher are the xxxxxxxx's???

It's most likely on the links that say :"message me", "add me", "block me" etc.

you could try this if you cant find it :
http://www.htmate.com/friendid/

or, basically its this number in the url. when you are signed into myspace, click "view profile". and then look at the url and copy the numbers next to friendid=. then, replace the x's with these numbers.

2. ctrl + F
3. click the replace tab
4. in the find section, type in the X's
5. in the replace section, type in your friend id

this is to make sure you replace ALL the X's. hope this helps.

you don't have to know where they are. you just have to know how many there are.

They're not always listed as X's; the layout creator might have written "YOURFRIENDIDHERE" or something.

you dont need to paste it onto word. just paste the code into your about me. press ctrl + f on any browser and a find box should come up (or if its firefox, then it should appear at the bottom)

There's no need to fill in your Myspace Friend ID with that layout; there are no MSPLinks or indications that you have anything to change.

I believe it changes every single time and gives you a unique number sequence. Use the following to replace your current MSLinks:

^ Hmmm, that's odd. Have you verified your myspace page/email? I know that new users have to do that when they sign up for the first time. That might be a cause of the problem.
