Ok, well I know how to make a DIV and all. The only thing I have a problem with is finding the coordinates of the tables. Is there an easier way to find the coordinates than just guessing? cuz it takes forever for me to guess where they go. And i'm pretty sure there's an easier way to figure it out with photoshop. i just don't know how. So please help?

Moved to Webmasters Corner.

In answer to your question - yes, you will need to use a program that comes with Photoshop called Imageready.

Using the image map tool, you drag boxes around your links and the program codes it for you once you preview in your browser.

but the fun is guessing. :]
unless you make the entire thing in photoshop and do the image maps as she said above (it can be done in photoshop or imageready), you'll have to guess.

Yea i know how to image map and all. But you know like on a layout where you put your about me sections and intersts and all that? i want to know how you find how many pixels to move to get the boxes in the right place.

oh, ok.
i believe there is a ruler on photoshop somewhere?
it's really not that hard to guess, either. if you have a good sense of pixels and such it really shouldn't be that hard.

ps.-move to myspace support?

Ok, In photoshop you just crop the amount of space you want, and then look at the dimensions. So if you want to know how much space to position it to the left, you look at the width of whatever you just cropped in photoshop... then you goto your css and use that width as your left margin. That's what I do to get an exact coordinate.

I just guess. I start off with moves of 100 pixels and then gradually reduce it until I get the positioning right. You can do it via Photoshop, but I find it quicker to just make a rough estimate and go from there.

well going back to the main topic, i do guess and check. or you can use paint. in the bottom right corner, it gives you the coordinates. just open up a screenshot of your layout.
