Ok guys, I'm taking a modern dance course at school and I breakdance in my free time. I'm pretty into dancing basically, and I've learned some swing/salsa/tango/etc.

Now, I have this date to winter formal. The most prominent types of dancing? Slow-dancing and grinding.

Whenever I slow-dance, I can't help but feel jittery. Whenever I dance, my feet have to move. But they don't in slow-dancing and grinding.

I don't have a problem with slow-dancing/grinding, but IMO, they're not really DANCING. It's more like a... social activity.

At any rate, I need suggestions/advice. I wasn't into the whole slow-dancing and grinding thing, mainly cuz I've never done it before and probably wasn't that good, so she was dancing with a bunch of other guys. I really don't have a problem with that, but I just don't want that happening again, so does anybody have tips on that kind of stuff?
