"Common sense" was a term made by stupid people. So now you understand why.

This is a forum; it's a time-wasting activity.

Can you answer my question? Why is it that people here cannot be bothered to respond meaningfully to meaningful topics? Instead, there are more responses to threads about pop culture or why a red necklace doesn't go with a periwinkle dress?

^ Because it's a time wasting activity. When you're wasting time you don't want to think of complicated things. Wasting time is when you rest your brain.

As far as this topic, it's just a saying. Why do people say "it's raining cats and dogs"? It's something that you can't measure, so it doesn't matter. What's common sense to one person isn't common sense to the other person.

You took the words right out of my mouth. It IS "common sense" to know some things, but to others it's far from common sense.
All a matter of opinion.

Even though common sense should be common to everyone...it isn't.

Now excuse me whilst I stick my head in the oven to look for that rogue potato chip...

Because people tend to think deeper into things, because common sense is obvious. It's the same thing as when you're looking for something, and it's right infront of you the whole time.

Its common sense to know that if you post a topic with the title 'serious' you think you're really going to get serious answers.
