"Miley Stewart is a normal girl by day but at night she's Hannah Montana a global popstar. Young girls everywhere look up to Hannah Montana/Miley Stewart because they can relate to her normal life but dream about being a pop star like her."
We had to write an essay about a pop culture icon and their influence over a group. ^That was my thesis. Now we have to take that thesis and turn it into a problem solution essay and use newspapers and magazines as support. The teacher's example was how to get a positive icon more into the spotlight, but unless you've been living under a rock you know that Hannah Montana is EVERYWHERE. My only idea of an essay is to say that although HM is a great role model, she's not realistic. How many pre-teens are ever going to make it big like her? And for that matter, how realistic is anyone in the media? Looking up to someone who's life isn't like yours isn't a good idea because what they choose to do is going to differ from you have to do. idk. Any ideas? |
