Im positive Im goin to heaven...

There's no proof of heaven's existence, but you believe it exists. And even though there's no proof of it's existence and the guidelines for entry vary from cult to cult, you believe that, by your standards, that you'll go to heaven? Aren't we just a Saint?!

Please take the time to read this first post and pray that prayer to God at the bottom of it if you haven't yet.

I have found an excuse to almost everything they have told me in church. And they all make more since.
I still want to believe in god, but i'm sure there isn't one.
And just to be random, i hate when people say "if theres no god, how did we get here?" because then i would say "How did god get there?" and then he'd ask "how did we get here?" and so on, if god can just poof out of now where, why can't we?

Your right.. there is no proof that heaven exists.. cause you cant see it. You have to have faith to believe in Heaven. And your saying thats stupid, right? Correct me if Im wrong. But, dont you practice faith every day of your life? You go to sleep and have faith that you will wake up the next morning, you drive to work and have faith that someone isnt going to cut you off and your going to smash into another car and go to the hospital. You drop your kid off at school and have faith that nothing bad will happen to him in those eight hours.

Life takes faith every day, going from task to task. It just depends on what you put your faith in. So, for some people they do have faith in a heaven and in a God. Others dont.

But Im not looking to debate or argue, I was just tryin to make a point.

how does it make sense to say faith in waking up everyday is the same as faith in going to heaven?

you know why people think they are going to wake up everyday??? becuase they do wake up everyday. it's further proven every single time they wake up. that is completely irrelevant to having faith you are going to go heaven which you have ZERO experience with.

if something has reasonable logic, proof, and prior experience why the hell would you classify that as faith? that's like the polar opposite of "faith".

it doesn't take "faith" for me to know these things. i know them becuase i've experienced them everyday that i've been alive so far. there's no reason to think such basic facts of life would randomly switch up. even if i did want to sit here and worry about not waking up it would be pointless becuase i can't choose any alternative. i have to sleep regardless.

Actually, immaturity is when your too intolerant of other's beliefs that you cant be civilized in your responses. Talking about maturity, when is it mature to call someone a "moron" and a "prude" when they express their opinion?

Im not shoving what I believe in down your throat and Im def. not immature for having an opinion.

What are you talking about? I was talking about faith, not trying to shove it down anyone's throats.

I am stating my opinion, not telling you to believe it. This is the debate forum, isnt it? If you are too sensitive, get the f**k out.

The fact that you're talking about "practicing faith every day of your life" does not apply to everyone. And that you're basically saying that everyone applies faith every day of their life to me, is in a way of pushing faith into my faith. Maybe you don't get that since obviously you practice faith in every bit of your life. But I certainly don't. I also assume that you're Christian. Are you going to have to pray to god now that you've been swearing and ask him for forgiveness and have faith that he's going to forgive you?

Pushing faith into your faith?
I thought you didnt have any faith?

1 a: allegiance to duty or a person : loyalty b (1): fidelity to one's promises (2): sincerity of intentions
2 a (1): belief and trust in and loyalty to God (2): belief in the traditional doctrines of a religion b (1): firm belief in something for which there is no proof (2): complete trust
3: something that is believed especially with strong conviction ; especially : a system of religious beliefs <the Protestant faith>

Faith isnt all about religion. Someone can have faith in their brother that he is going to stop drinking. Or they can have faith in their child that they will do good in school. "I have faith in you." People do have faith in what they do and in what others do.

But, faith can also apply to religion. But dont freak out now.. Im not telling you to join my religion or anything. Its ok, calm down.

Oh and....

f**k.

EDIT: But, if you dont think thats true, thats fine. I do. Im not imposing it on you, Im just saying what I believe. Im not shoving anything down anyone's throats...

i know, it's just that you two are some of the only people here who actually have enough brain power to grasp debate concepts. lately it seems like you guys usually opt to bash someone instead of debate anymore. i guess because the debate forum is getting too boring to care anymore, but still.

I MISS THE OLD DAYS!
