Saw it a few months back, and it was alright .. but I didn't really like Molly Shannon doing a non-comedic role :(

Any thoughts on the movie?

I didn't see the movie, but I thought it would have Chinese actors since "Year of the Dog" sounds really Asian.

I probably won't see it, especially if you only thought it was 'alright'.

Did you think Molly Shannon did good with a role that was more serious? or no?
Cause I know it can be weird seeing a comedian do that, but sometimes they pull it off (Will ferrell as Harold Crick).

^ I laughed when he got hit by the bus. Everyone in the theatre was shushing my friend and I... haha.

I always find it kinda strange when someone who usually makes funny movies makes a serious one, or vise versa.

I wasn't exactly floored by Molly Shannon's performance .. I guess since she's been seen as a funny lady, I went in expecting her to be .. funny. Her character really depressed me ..

I wouldn't put her performance at par with Will Ferrell's Harold Crick .. she just needs a role where the character is multi-faceted, and not just plain funny, or plain blah.

According to imdb, she's in a Lifetime movie that airs this Saturday night called More of Me .. it's labeled as a comedy, so I wonder how that's going to turn out.

You should watch it and let us know :D

Haha, hm .. I'll probably record it if anything.

The premise of More of Me reminds me of Multiplicity.
