So my iPod (30gb vid.) is losing a lot of juice FAST these days. I've been listening to it for about an hour now, and it's already down the red. I started nearly full.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced any problems with the 30gb, nanos, etc.

Did you charge it for a few ours after you bought it?
Because sometimes you have to charge something after you buy it so it'll last longer. mellow.gif

I bought it almost a year ago... but yeah, before listening I did fully charge it. (side note: you should do this with all electronic devices, no matter how physched you are to use it.)

Do you listen to it a lot and constantly scrolling around with the backlight on? If that's the case, you might want to look into replacing the battery. There's plenty of do-it-yourself kits available.

yea. mine does it too. i had it for two years coming this november. its a nano gen 1. after like 2 hours mine goes down to red. but then if you put it on lock and let it play by itself it will go back to green, and then suddenly to red. so maybe that will help.

but i guess the batteries really only last for a little.

I've got the same iPod you do, Aesthetic, and I've noticed the same problem. >_<

It's not absolutely terrible, but it is annoying.

Yup, its happened to me bunches of times. Then again, it is an iPod... what do you expect? Lol.

My secret - Just make a playlist of the stuff you'll usually listen to, and then play it and put the ipod on lock.
