I live 15 miles or so from 2 fires on either side.
I was FREAKING out last night, but today I think we're
ok. Althought, the air is MUCH worse today. It looks
like its sunrise or sunset all day. The sky is orange
the smoke is thick and the sun is like a reddish orange
blur in the sky. I feel like I'm in a movie, and
its hard to beleieve all this is happening...

I was under a mandatory evacuation at 2pm yesterday, because it seemed like the fire was coming in my direction. So we went to stay at a friend's house in a more coastal, southern area, and then around noon today we were told that it was safe to go back, so we're at home now.

I'm really glad that the fire steered away from my area (Scripps Ranch), because it was the area that got hit really badly during the Cedar Fire four years ago. Two of my friends' houses got burned down then. :(

Ooh I should add: I go to UCSD also. And it's kind of cool that school is canceled because I have a really hard Spanish essay due that I need to work on.

Who am I? lol I don't know how to answer that...

I'm a third year at UCSD. I'm in Muir, but I don't live there anymore. I'm a communication major.

You may have seen me around campus and not realized haha, same goes for me to you.

lmao I go to Muir as well! But I'm a second year though. Yea I might've. Who are you as in what is your real name. Facebook me, if you don't want to tell me your real name on here. I'm Christina Tran.

Hopefully everyone at UCSD are alright. The fire's closer to them than where I am, now. :/ The air was pretty bad Sunday.

Trish is everything better there? Power ever come back, or did you have to evacuate? When does your puppy come?

Just wanted to check up on everyone. My sister's evac was cancelled and she told me today that they're doing a good job with the containment.

I seen it on the news. Some people may have started their own house on fire on purpose to get insurance money.
