If all the staff hadn't been on agreement the people who were recently made mods wouldn't be mods.

To be honest, this hiring wasn't well discussed...

Oh, majority rules, of course, but head honchos have final say.

Yeah, the hiring went pretty quick (in my opinion). I think a lot of people would've liked to talk it over a bit more, but with that being said they still had a chance to voice any disconcern. In my opinion, it was more throwing names out there than discussing. It was something new that we tried, but like most things will probably get some tweeking.

The hiring went quick and I just took the names that majority choose. Which ended up being like everyone choose these people.

My posts from the boardroom about the hiring and it was pretty much replies to the other posts:

I got well a paragraph of what happened.

I'm sorry that you guys didn't feel like you were able to really get your opinion in there. I do apologize and next time around I'll be sure to give some more time on it thumbsup.gif :D

I personally just thought we needed some more people to livin up the place and to help out with the work load. The queue was getting ugly and filled with stuff and it didn't seem like the regular people wanted to deal with it over and over and needed some help. And I mean I always liked getting new people back here shrug.gif Brings a new atmosphere, not a bad one of course. And I personally don't see or feel any tension back here even with the new people? (Backstage is what I'm referring to XD)

I personally like the new way, it eliminates a lot of unnecessary things.
I made a topic in backstage and it seems like a lot of people like this new way. Only thing is the time that it took, so I do apologize and we will definitely put more time to discussion next time! :D

Learn from your past and thats what I'll do. Thank you all for your input and opinions _smile.gif
Ah sorry for the smilies XD I think Diana has rubbed off on me. I just love em'! XD

Alright well I'll be sure to have everything written out write to the very line of what is going to happen _smile.gif It was a learning process and I don't think anything really bad has happened but I do agree it can take more time.

And I have to say I thought the discussion has already started because people were already in there saying other things then just names so I just figured the discussion started. I guess I could have gone in there and said okay everyone discuss, which will happen next time :]

It seems like a lot of people liked it shrug.gif yet others didn't of course. Its a learning experience and if any of you have problems with a certain mod, then take it up with them. I'm sure their not going to hide behind a rock in fear.

I'm not really seeing anything bad happening with the new mods and I don't see any of them as being a bad choice.

I don't really think so shrug.gif Thats just my opinion of course. I took the names that were thrown out and people were like Oh yea they would be great! type thing and just put it on a list and said so how about these people. Of course I took the time to think about each person on the list and if I thought they were good enough then I pretty much was happy if they got on staff *shrug. so Personally I don't think the outcome would have been different. But I guess you really have to ask the people that aren't happy about this whole thing.

Actually..I didn't put any names out there. I took the names that were put out the most and put it on a list. And I took some names from the community thread too.

It's because we have sex James. That's why. One night me and Holly were doing it, and after we were done I said, "Holly, can I please become a mod?" She said, "Of course." It was that night, she made me a mod.

You see, it had nothing to do with any mutual decisions. It was all the sex. If you want something done, just sleep with someone. If you want a raise, you sleep with your boss. That's what I did. I slept with everyone that wanted me on staff. If you have a problem with that then feel free to take it up with my girlfriend the Administrator. Tee hee.

I remember certain people getting truck loads of shit for doing a hiring like this. Not that I'm disagreeing with who was hired, but still. If it works out though, it works out. No use crying over spilled milk. They decided to hire people who were recommended by members of the community. Sure, it felt like more of popularity situation than anything else, but such is life. XD

What would be nice though, is if conversation here (not in this thread, since it's a mod related thread) but in general, if conversation didn't have to be about staff so often. Sometimes it seems like all people talk about is staff, staff, staff. What staff is doing, who is on staff, who's fucking who on staff, who's backstabbing on staff, who's abusing their position, blah blah blah blah blah.

And I don't know what's up with Jane. She's been the topic of mod performance for what seems like forever.

Well, I mean. There's no question abotu what happened. The only reason I am on staff is because I had sex with the administrator. I mean. I apologize, but that's just they way life is. I think that the members of the community should learn a valuable lesson from all this. Have a loving relationship with the admin, and she will hire you.

In the end, I haven't heard any negative feedback regarding my moderating performance. So, I'm not really sweating anything. Kyro's just being honest. This time he's right. It was unfair that I got hired, but seeing as he wasn't yearning to get on staff anyway I don't understand why he's bringing it up. On the other hand, it may have been fortunate that it played out this way (something that only the future can tell us). *wink*

P.S. Kyro, I know your IP address. We all do. ;]

P.P.S. If you want, we can cyber some time I could find a position for you (that's ironic).

So was Clashing and we saw how long that took.

Oh wait, so was Sandra and that never really had an outcome. She just randomly popped back up when it got ugly to save her name.
