Once you've uploaded everything, you'll have to create an index.html file with everything that you want to show up when someone visits your domain.

Like how do you create your webpage?

Name your homepage coding index.html and upload it on your ftp server.

For the other pages, make sure the files end in .HTML
Then, once you upload them, you can view them as webpages. Naming files with an html extension will allow your site to use those files as coding for your webpages.

You have to actually put some html or something on the index.html page in order for it to work and you upload the index file to your ftp. What's the link to your site? What are you trying to put on your website?

I just went to your site. I get the 404 error too which means you didn't upload your main page (index.html) properly assuming there aren't any problems with your domain.

So all of that HTML is saved at index.html right? Use the tutorials to upload the index.html file into your main directory. If you are doing it properly but it still doesn't work, then contact your host to make sure there aren't any issues with your domain.

If you know how to upload then there's no need for the tutorials. They're pretty general anyway.

Can you take us step by step of what you did/are doing?

yes okay
i connect, with my host name, username, password, and all that.
i select 'index.html' in the left side and click the green arrow pointing right, which transfers it to the right side then i select my image and i select the green arrow again and the image goes to the left. then i highlight the index.html and image and i right and i go to operations then to transfers and thats all i do.

Is the image what you're wanting to show? If so, it has to be on the actual index file.

All you need is the file to go to the right side (that's where the files are uploaded to right?). Sorry, I'm not familiar with WS_FTP. The image is one that's going to be on the page right? What are you doing afterwards?

Once you've uploaded index.html and all the files (images/pages/etc.) that belong on the index.html file, the website should show it. I don't understand this part:
QUOTE
then i highlight the index.html and image and i right and i go to operations then to transfers and thats all i do.

From the tutorials, I read that you just have to drag and drop the the files onto the right side. That's all.

Sure. I never liked those FTP programs. I use FireFTP, a tool for Firefox internet browser.

No it isn't. =\ But get rid of the files you uploaded and do it again using FireFTP. If that really doesn't change anything, then it's not the FTP you're using. You really should contact your host and see if there are any problems with the domain.
