Hi. Long time reader, first time poster.

I found this in a fitness forum.

A guy, 22, wants to have sex with a girl who's 16. I'm the dad of a 1 year old daughter. I am worried about her enough as it is, but I cant think of how much I'd worry about this if this was my daughter. I'm angry about this guy doing this, am I right to be angry? What would you do if your daughter was in this situation?

Doesn't matter whether or not she wants it, it's ILLEGAL. He's a 22 year old adult. He should know better. It's statutory rape.

IF u were her dad u would have a right to be angry, it's illegal, but ur not, so who cares.

if i had a daughter, and she was in this situation, id probably do nothing, because i wouldn't know about it. its not like 16 year old girls go tell their dads they wanna f**k a 22 year old. so i don't even know what ur talking about

Y'all act like a 16 year old having sex with a 22 year old is a death sentence. No matter how wrong it may seem, I don't see why people get so worked up over this. If the girl consents, more power to her.

Steven was 18 and I was 16 at one point in time o_0 is that illegal?

I think if they really "love" each other, they should just hold off until it doesn't become an issue. She only has 2 more years to go... :T

I think that this happens a lot today, and if its consensual, then who gives. But like Michelle said, if they are serious about each other they should wait.

I think it's okay. In some states, if one person is an adult and the other isn't but the difference between the ages is less than 4 years, than it's okay.

I usually don't have a problem with older guys and younger girls... but the fact that he's SO wanting to do it... is kinda creepy. If the person consents than... I guess... it's okay? But under the law, it isn't.

My little sister did the same thing.

I knew the guy and knew he was a scum bag (as most 20somethings that have sex with teenagers are). She had sex with him. He broke up with her. I beat him up laugh.gif .

I hate that guy.

the reason why it's wrong is not because OMG its illegal, it's statutory rape, it's consensual, etc.

she's 16. he's 22.
can he not find somebody who's his own age? or at least technically somebody who's more experienced, who's more mature?
if she was 22 and he was 28, that's different.
She would be legally an adult and can legally make her own decisions, but hell... 16 years old, you can't even go get your ears pierced w/o your parents consent, and she's having sex with somebody 6 years older than her?

put yourself in the parents shoes.. how would it make you feel if that was your daughter?

wait.. shouldn't this be in the debate forum???

It's really common these days for this to happen. I think with how things are now in the world girls like going after older guys and I guess that could be why she was flirting some much on the blog. I guess it if was my daughter I would be pretty irritated, but you know ultimately its her choice and there isn't really any way your probably going to find out if your daughter was actually going out and doing stuff like this.


Lol, become a pick up artist, so i was write about the forum. Thats what the forum calls for then oh well, seriously dude if your going to get mad over the stories in there then I suggest not even bother to go on there and read the posts.

you didn't read.

legal age of consent in ontario is 16. so, it's not illegal.
