Is for everybody? Or that anyone who goes always gets what they want out of it even if they apply themselves?
I find that hard to believe. |

Well, it's obvious college isn't for everyone or else everyone would be there or would have gone there sometime in their lifetime.

It's tough. I don't know how I stuck it out at my Sixth Form. If it weren't for the thought of spending the rest of my life scraping pennies together...It's all about motivation and how far you're prepared to go in life. TBH, I'd be happy doing something I love for a small sum rather than something I hate for hundreds of thousands.

It's not for everyone. I know people that have gotten good jobs with good pay (sometimes better pay than me)without a college degree. Their options aren't as broad as they would be with a college degree though. College is starting to be like a HS diploma--necessary--and Grad school is now "optional" but people make you feel you need to go. In the end it's who you know not what you know. I will say college is MUCH easier than high school.

Pretty much everyone else in the world would beg to differ (except maybe college freshman who have less work than they did in the IB program or something). I think it's entirely necessary if you want to be able to do anything with your life (and don't just happen to have some other useful talent), but I don't think it's as much for me as I thought. College life is fun, but I'm sick of taking classes that I really couldn't care less about. |

My major was Communications. I just think it's so much better than getting busy work every single day. On your first day of class you know what you have to do, big and small, and you know when it's due. Also, the environment is more conducive to learning. the study groups, the libraries, the facilities. And also, seeing as you chose your major you are more into the work you're doing--it's relevant. And your freshman year it's just easy because it's basic coursework. |

I just think College is the last time in your life you really get to have fun. You work for the rest of your life. Classes suck, but nothing compares to a college environment.

And as far as freshman year goes, I could not be more sick of stupid core classes that interest me none whatsoever. But yeah, I'm enjoying the environment a ton. Though I could do with a more...intellectual school. |

Moved to School.
I do find it isn't for everyone. Some people don't get anything out of it so it's a waste of time and money in the end, so yeah. But it really does broaden ones options I find. *shrug* But yes, I say its much better than the high school environment. |

I like college. I'm not really feeling very challenged actually
![]() But its not like the 80's anymore. You (almost) can't get by with just a G.E.D. anymore. Unless you come from old money or invent a new microsoft, you'd better go to college. |

It's definitely not for EVERYONE. but college is very important. In most places, an Undergrad degree is the most basic requirement. My school is definitely challenging. I felt that my first year was easier than highschool, but my sophomore year is so much harder, and I feel so much more pressure now. But I love it. The best times of your life really are spent at college.
