Do you think you benefit from your skin color?

Example: In person, i look like a Light Skinned black girl, but i'm really spanish. When i walked in a store with let's say filled with black people, they didn't look at me like i'm in a wrong store. Though when this white man walked in, every black person and there mothers looked and whispered.

Is it just me?

This is no racism, it's just my opinion.

Another Example:

I seen this white guy and of course i thought he was white, so i told my friend in spanish "damn that man is so fine". Turned out the guy was Puerto Rican(Spanish) and he smiled at me and said "Thank's Sweety you look beautiful as well"

My friend and i just were in such shock, we left.

basically that Puerto Rican benefited 'cause his skin color was light, and he can listen in peoples convo's.
