some random poem. i've written after a documentary about losing a loved one.


life after death is there such a thing
if tears and sorrow is what death only brings
gun shots in the night as it howls in the wind
sirens in the air while the grim reaper grins

another life is lost and nothing is gained
the bearer of bad news with news to explain
your son is gone and theres nothing we can do
we tried our best but the bullet went through

right in his heart where we was dead on arrival
no chance for living no chance for survival
please don't cry and try to be strong
he's lived a good life where did things go wrong

just another victim of violence that never ends
wrong place at the wrong time a life we cant defend
a cycle we can't stop that will live on forever
in this generation or the next, death will leave us never
